Wow this neigbor of ours to the North in Canada is one classy broad  

''John Doyle, the cleverest critic in Canada, comes right out and calls Palin an Alaska hillbilly. Damn his eyes, I wish I'd had the wit to come up with it first. It's safer than "white trash" but I'll pluck safety out of the nettle danger. Or something.


Palin has a toned-down version of the porn actress look favoured by this decade's woman, the overtreated hair, puffy lips and permanently alarmed expression.


Doyle's job includes watching a lot of reality television and he's well-versed in the backstory. White trash — not trailer trash, that's something different — is rural, loud, proudly unlettered (like Bush himself), suspicious of the urban, frankly disbelieving of the foreign, and a fan of the American cliché of authenticity. The semiotics are pure Palin: a sturdy body, clothes that are clinging yet boxy and a voice that could peel the plastic seal off your new microwave.'

gifts to offer us a perspective that might enlighten us. The message from OBama supporters has been to paint Gov. Palin as "White Trash" and don't pretend we don't see it. It's shameful. Much has been mentioned of Gov. Palin's dress, her red shoes, her religious upbringing, her seventeen year old pregnant daughter etc. Heck she probably shops at WalMart and her husband at Home Depot.

Sure Gov. Palin may not have gone to an Ivy League college,knows what the Bush Doctrine is or have the respect of any Hollywood celebrities but guess what most us are like her. For example, I do not believe in Darwin's theory of Evolution. I rather vote for a hard worker like Gov. Palin than some gasbags like Obama and Biden and the liberals don't get it.

What's funny is that the more salicious and vicious comments are made of Gov. Palin the more she endears herself to me. So thank you for adding to the political discourse of insults that divides our country and helping us to become more ignorant.

Wow you are an articulate little lad. I did it to show how Palin is being portrayed and I think the weird broad that wrote it is descipable and shows a contempt for The US as well .
Also the liberal press is doing their best to tear her down and try to show polls that show she is in decline. So my friend I am a big MAC and Palin supporter , no pun on the former:)
Makes me proud I have a historical Confederate flag that actually flew on the SC dome and I support MAC and Palin :)

Which should automatically disqualify you from ever offering an opinion on anything ever again.

If you don't believe that can be tested scientifically and easily observed, then you're just another loony who thinks their 'feelings' matter more than objective reality. If your preconceptions matter more than what's really happening, then your conclusions have no merit whatsoever.

You are either insane (and not in a creative good way but rather a spooky degenerative way) or unbelievably insensitive.

There is no question that some women who escort have low (very low) self esteem.... no question.  However, it has been my good fortune to have extended conversations with many of the women who frequent our discussion boards.  What I am about to say does not apply to all who are a part of our community, but I have met enough women to whom the following would apply that I am convinced it is true - further I've evidence from other women in different situations that what I believe is true - for a significant portion of ladies.

First, as to self-esteem.  There are ladies who will not see you UNLESS THEY SCREEN YOU.  I've met some of these.  They do not have to depend soley on escorting for their total income - some have other businesses (they are indeed the ultimate capitalists - owning more than one business).  They got into this because of a cash bind at one point in time or another.  They stay - much as we do - because on the whole - they like it.  Many have learned to hide their educational level... why?  Cause shithead dudes like their wimen dumb, barefoot, ignorant and all dolled up and wet for 'em to come to.

So, they endure.  and occasionally they meet men who enjoy having sex with beautiful women, dining with them, and in general having a relaxing evening - without the troubles of a traditional "Relationship!"  SAME AS YOU BUB!

I've also seen women go from this industry - for many reasons... and I've seen others go and come back.... not due to any self-esteem issue, but because they miss something about the hobby, maybe it is the variety - maybe it is the adventure, or maybe it is (for them) somewhat - the sex on demand.... perhaps it is all of this and more.

Wanna know what is the ultimate of low self-esteem...?  It is jumping from a bridge, failing to hit correctly to kill oneself - and dying about 3 hours later... muttering "I can't do anything right, including killing myself"  - THAT is low self-esteem.  And friend, that was NOT an escort - that was a straight A Student who did that.

So perhaps I've been too harsh on you, and perhaps you have met ladies in your hobbying adventures who do have self-esteem issues (actually I too have met a couple).  But if that is all you have met, I am truly sorry for you, as the ladies I've met - well they are spectacular, know how to have a great time, but are proud of who they are, and apologize to no one for what they do.  Those are ladies I admire - and am happy to call some friend.

who manage to rise above to positions of power and influence seem to always feel that because I - or for that matter - anyone else has an opinion that differs from theirs that they must be stupid, insane, ignorant or perhaps a triple threat.

Plain and simple, the language she uses, the tone and the downright nasty visiage she desires to create, if that alone were what would drive my political decisions, I would ALWAYS vote R.  Fortunately when I feel that way, I get a dose of Sean Hannity or Rush L, and that forces me back towards the middle.  

The exptreme language of both sides needs to just stop.  It helps no-one and is certain to doom the country to failure.  

I have one former colleague who cannot have a civil conversation over matters politic... he is simply too left, and any position that one takes that is held by the R's is automatically considered evil by him.....  where and how did we get to this place in America?  That we truly hate ourselves.
