“preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States.”

Then Trump took a short ride on the short bus to the White House where the oaf of office immediately VIOLATED his oath of office be signing an executive order ending birthright citizenship.

One small problem - Section 1 of the Fourteenth Amendment states:
“All persons born…in the United States…are citizens of the United States…”

A president doesn’t have the power or authority to unilaterally revoke any part of the Constitution…at least until he becomes a dictator.

Chaos, thy name is Trump.

No more anchor babies until we deport the people that should not be here. Time to put us citizens first. That other administratuon was putting us last.

It was a smart move and im glad we have a president with the guts to make it

and the question will be whether a US birth obtained by fraudulent or illegal means is entitled to the same recognition as one that is within the laws of the US.  Congress has ignored this issue for too long.

This right here ! ! !  CDL is exactly right. Is a Birth obtained by fraudulent or illegal means is entitled to the same recognition as one that is within the laws of the US. the left will scream that it is. But yeah that's the question.

Also ICKY Poooo... Grammar Nazi alert! Clean up on Isle Big P

you rode the short bus to school, but Trump went in a custom armored Cadillac limo from the Capitol to the Arena where the parade took place, and he signed the first dozen or so Executive Orders to the cheers of voters of every stripe.

"Some onlookers observed that President Donald Trump didn't place his hand on the Bible when sworn in at his inauguration, prompting questions about how the Bible traditionally factors into the ceremony.

While it is common for incoming presidents to place their hand on a Bible while taking the oath of office, it's not a legal requirement.

Article VI of the U.S. Constitution states that "all executive and judicial Officers, both of the United States and of the several States, shall be bound by Oath or Affirmation, to support this Constitution; but no religious Test shall ever be required as a Qualification to any Office or public Trust under the United States."

Like Ilhan Omar and Rashida Tlaib did when they were sworn into their congressional seats.

.., on the Bible if the inauguration would have been outdoors, but the fire marshal would not allow it indoors.

Just like with static electricity, if you get close enough, it jumps from one object to the other through the air.  It still counts because you can feel it.   Try it.

…if Trump can end anchor babies falsely being label American citizens. Trump has a good case. Being born in the US in and of itself does not convey citizenship if the parent is a *subject* of another land, as that would deprive that subject of their own nationality. If an Italian happens to go on holiday to Vegas and ends up giving birth, saying their offspring is American robs the parent of claiming their offspring to their natural Italian citizenry.

It’s widely accepted that people born on US soil are American if their parents are subjects of the USA. Just as when the USA annexed Texas and what was once northern Mexico, birthright citizenship applied to them because their parents were no longer Mexican subjects, but American.

Correcting this error would save us greatly, as we cannot have people running around as citizens when they are in fact loyal for a foreign land. No matter how many taco trucks we lose.

Big Papa Felch, have you done a survey of how many taco trucks have gone up in flames?

This however is a full-blown tragedy!

http://abc7.com/owner-claims-arson-after-taco-truck-fire-in-downtown-los-angeles-dannys-tacos/14642901/

Who does this? Seriously to intentionally BURN a taco truck?

The Oath of Office: "I (full name of president) do solemnly swear that I will faithfully execute the Office of President of the United States, and will ****to the best of my ability,**** preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States. So help me God."
.
Although I seriously question Trump's abilities (intellectual, ethical, ...), I wonder how far Trump will go with the full immunity granted to him by SCOTUS. ... We're soon to be finding out (e.g., birthright citizenship).

I'm surprised the Christian right and MAGA didn't take offense at Trump swearing the Presidential Oath of Office without his hand on the Bible. If it were Biden or Harris, they would be all over it.
