I doubt that any gov official would bother filing a "false statement" charge about Trump's false weight claim, even though it would be so EASY to prove the statement to be false, but does a private citizen, e.g., a journalist, have standing to file some sort of request for verification? Or can a private citizen submit evidence or challenge to the contrary? (E.g., private jet flight plan papers?)

Does a private aircraft have to file proof that they are loaded / flying within their limits? (Recall famous celebrities dying in crashes where it came out that planes were loaded beyond their rated capacities.) Does Trump's private jet have to file paperwork that they are not overloaded?

And another question about Trump's private jet: Is responding to a criminal indictment and showing up at an arraignment or court appearance considered to be a PERSONAL expense or a BUSINESS expense? Trump's public GA arrest info says that he is 6'3" and 215 pounds. That's a BMI of 26.9 which is in the "overweight" category (but not obese category). While POTUS, his weight was reported in public disclosures as 244 pounds. 6'3" and 244 pounds is a BMI of 30.5 which just above the "overweight" to "obese" threshold of 30.

But while looking up info about Meadows, it turns out that he claimed to have received a BA from the Univ of South Florida. It was a part of his official House bio.
