That is not Paul's audience. Remember, this is the state that incredibly still has the Confederate Flag in front of the State House.
So let's not condemn the entire population because of the conduct of middle aged SC Republicans.

It seemed to me that the young college kids who are his fervent supporters were not represented in the audience last night.
Based on the coverage of the Iowa caucus I watched, Paul was well respected there on most of his issues.

the Southeast isn't going to go for a Texan in a bad economy. However, the young is a mystery to me. At least in the West.

My son is in college along with all of his friends. It is amazing how conservative they are. The problem, they have no life experience or perspective. Most or all of his friends think Bush was a joke (can't fault them on that one) Obama is a National Disgrace pinko communist and if you start asking about Senators it gets worst.

For the most part they won't dig for facts and investigates the candidates. They decide, I think by joking around with one another, one of them suggest one of the conservatives  and they all go for him.

If you ask why they can't name one reason. Most of them will go to the polls and vote, but God only knows who for.

You have the right to vote informed or otherwise.

And that is that the citizenry of this country is as stupid as a box of rocks and deserves what they get from this terminally corrupt pigstye of a government America has.

Before I go further I should say that I admire Ron Paul but only causally, I don't think he is clear enough with his supporters of about who manipulates the system he wants to fix and I also can't pretend to think that the man has any chance in this putrid system of selecting a President, so I am not speaking out of frustration that he will not win.

I have no idea why but I actually watched that debate last night. The reaction toward a man that essentially was simply trying to explain to a bunch of terminally stupified morons in the crowd that when you throw a match onto gasoline that it sparks a inferno was enough to reaffirm that this country is filled with absolute fools.

Yes this is the same population that believed a bunch of muslims came here to kill Americans simply because they "hate our freedom", y'know women driving cars, etc. Yep they killed themselves and continue to this day because of that.

The man stands up there and explains cause and effect by trying to say that the reason the people over there try to kill us here and there is because we are killing them and supporting others who kill them.

Then the yes-men to his side climb all over themselves to play to the mindless zombies by distorting his message and belittling him. Each one of them know he is right. Those idiots and the millions who cheared along with them, they deserve what they are going to get from Romney or whoever wins, another traitor, another liar, another puppet.

It's the same mentality that is behind people wanting to beat someone up over doing something like burning a American flag (which I would indeed frown upon) but yet wouldn't think of bringing final retribution to the gaggle of criminals who have manipulated the current and past wars that have seen thousands of soldiers die.

I wish Paul would have just walked off the stage after telling the audience that he is done trying to wake up a poulation that will never get tired of not getting it, that will never get tired of the continuing cycle of treason and corruption that exists only because the population is to stupid, lazy, and cowardly to actually stand and do and say what is necessary to fix things.

I guess he has faith in his supporters, but I just don't see why he tries to talk to a wall about things that they don't want to understand.

I could have said more here to explain, but people like myself and Paul just need to take a breath sit back and laugh as the population scratches their heads and are clueless as to why things keep getting worse. Instead of trying to wake up a bunch of drones that don't have the will, courage, or intelligence to fix our problems, we just need to find some solace in seeing these same idiots that belittled Paul last night being dumbfounded at why things just keep getting worse for many out there.

As I said, the population of this country deserve everything they have gotten and will continue to get because they have no the courage to stand against out eternal enemies, they are too ignorant to see the solutions, and they largely ignore a guy that even at this late hour could have helped to halt the decline.

Have the right to vote -- informed or otherwise?

Like the founding fathers, I am not at all sure that Senators should even be elected rather than appointed by their respective States, and I'm also not sure the fate of the state should be left in the hands of people whose votes can be purchased for the price of a free meal or a pack of cigarettes.

You going to legislate intelligence. How do we do that, I.Q test? Who decides who is smart enough.

Maybe a Republic where real property ownership gives you the right to vote.

and those that are a drag on society no vote.

Just like in your parents house, how many children have ever heard this from their parents? "My house, my rules" As long as I am paying the bills I feel my opinion is more important than those that are no more than blood sucking parasites, living off the hard work of others.

I know it's a pipe dream, but that doesn't mean I don't support it.

Otherwise, if 18 & over, registered to vote & can produce a valid ID card, then you're qualified to vote.

If these standards are too lax for some, petition your representatives to put in a new Constitutional voting amendment requirement.

For those that are new here or have forgotten, while Xiao simply hates "Likudites" Tall and Dim brings "Jew bashing" to a whole new level.

If you don't believe me, give him time. Or just pull some of his posts on the subject from a couple of years ago.

OTOH, he is rather knowledgable about the horses and horse racing, so he has SOME redeeming qualities, but I doubt posters like Pri et al are going to think so once they get to know him. lmao

AAR Welcome back T&D, I wasn't sure if we'd ever see you here again. I didn't mean to spoil the suprise, but I thought the members might like to know who they are dealing with here. lmao

That is, those who, compared to what they withdraw from the government in salary, welfare, etc. are net tax contributors would get to vote. Those who are net tax recipients would not. That would be easily determined by existing data: 1040

FWIW I am far from broke or depressed. Life might suck for you, hence your antipathy towards the Zionists, who you and your ilk blame for everything wrong in your life, but my life is pretty fucking good.

Damn, America is a good country, and if and when it ceases to be, I have the means to go whereever the fuck I want to. It really must suck to be you, no wonder your posts are so hateful.

The last sentence of your post got my attention, I guess my question is are you ok with that, do you think it makes sense to participate in a system where you are going to be outnumbered by unimformed people who don't make decisions based on long term interests or logical thought but on emotion and mob mentality. The modern system of democracy is nothing close to what the Greeks who created the system practiced.

I mean we live in a country that says it was bad to have required people to actually be able to read. Yeah and you wonder why things are in such a cesspool of a state.

Democracy in America today is overseen by those in control of the media, they control the votes of the millions who base their opinions on the largely artificial picture of the world that the media paints for them. Ron Paul has no chance of winning because the media has told the millions that base their views on what they are made to believe everyone else thinks that he has no chance, that he is not the prototypical candidate. And in their infinite stupidity, the masses don't stop to think, gee hasn't the prototype done nothing but sell this country out for 70 years, maybe we need a legit change. No the masses never think for themselves and will forever be led astray by their programmers, the media bosses.

That would be a big time non-starter as long ass the media manipulates the whole process.

The "smart-guy" politicians would never suggest that people should have to show some sort of capability to make rational descisions and see the importance of the process of selection of heads of state, the media would immediatly call them all their patented smear words that the sheep are programmed to see as abhorrent.

So people still think that the commoners petitioning their Congressmen actually matters, calling them also matters eh?? Sorry but there are others with the big bucks that will drown out those phone calls.

I assume you are referring to the sentence:

" You have the right to vote informed or otherwise."

It was just a statement and sad to say a statement of fact. My kid is 20+ and he is very conservative along with his friends. From kindergarten to the 8 grade he was driven to a private Catholic school and 4 years at private Catholic high school.  Those Catholic's aren't worth a damn at turning out bleeding heart liberals.

My point: I wanted him to be well educated, able to read and think at the same time and add numbers. Public education in AZ and the US is not able to accomplish this task.
But as a side note the politicians both locally and in Washington D.C. like it that way. If we had an intelligent electorate none of those thieves would be in office.

You ask:

"... do you think it makes sense to participate in a system where you are going to be outnumbered by unimformed people who don't make decisions based on long term interests or logical thought but on emotion and mob mentality."

Absolutely make no sense at all, but it's the system we have.  And that's why I provided my kid the best available education. His college major is physics  and four more years of that I will know more about "String Theory" than any of you guys. LOL

As for "outnumbered by uninformed people", I can't educate all the kids in the world.

Ron Paul is a chump. That's why he has no chance of winning. He is as much of an ideology as Obama, just on the other end of the shitty stick. A lot of what he says is true but he couldn't sell cold water in the Sahara Desert on a hot day and guess what, no one else can sell him .

Knowing the rational of most voters, not saying you are necessarily like this, but I can admit Dr. Paul is a bit quirky to look at. I mean the guy is a GYN doctor, what can you expect.

But the country has been presented with an option that is not one that is in some shape or form is a option that is approved by the manipulators of the system that has orchestrated the collapse of this country. The overwhelming support of this man by his loyalists combined with the mediocre list of choices provided by the masters of the system has lead to him being able to be on that podium at the debates. I can't believe at this late hour that they are even allowing a truly nationalistic and patriotic voice to be heard. America will not be able to say it didn't have a chance to at least slow down the ruch to oblivion the overlords have it on.

I hope one or two of them drop out soon, it will make it that much harder to ignore Dr. Paul's message.

Maybe it will wake up more people and then progress can be made toward a worthwhile end, and that is not trying to safe this terminally ill country, but perhaps other options can be considered like building a new nation.

That is the thing I always liek to ask people who call themselves conservative, what is there in this country that is left to conserve, morally, economically, etc. Its time those who are sane and who can think for themselves start thinking outside the box.

Your slander aside, you won't see me here that often, as I have shared my thoughts on it here to an extent, the American people are just fine with being slaves and who can blame anyone for getting away with whatever they damn well please, its not like the moronic cowards are going to do anything about it.

I have come to have true disdain for the people who tolerate the entire mess, its cowardice and laziness more than ignorance. If people didn't know at least some of the truth as to what is the driving force behind the present state of world decline then they might accidently step on our rulers toes now and then. People in this country never tire of being lead down roads to nowhere, so let them be lead.

I can't blame those in control for doing what they do, I might actually ask why they don't just go for the gusto, bomb Iran and send ground forces in, while your at it do the same in Egypt, a puppet needs to be reestablished there, don't let things go to chance now.

Maybe those in power don't even realize how worthless the population has become with regard to taking a stand against those who give no f*ck about sending their kids over to die to protect a regime that has stated that they have no qualms with bombing European capitals into oblivion if their lapdogs there don't do as their told.

Facts don't matter but if you want to amuse yourself with what some idiotic "jew haters" are made to think might be something to be concerned about, again though the words of the guy who said them, then google "Martin Van Crevald". Yes Ahmadinijad is still misquoted as saying he wanted to wipe Israel off the map but yet this doesn't hardly get a peep from our "free media".

Again the sheep aren't about to rise so what are they worrying about, the cowardice of the serfs is contagious I think

The facts are what they are relative to a myriad of different issues having to do with world events and what is and has been the driving force behind them. If it is considered to be abhorrent to recognize the evidence for what it is and to identify items where it is admitted at times by those in control just who is the driving force behind it.

Seems to me that those in control would identify those who suggest debating things other than the same old tired issues and policies with regard to why things are in such a decline, they would identify those people as, oh yes, haters, raciists, and other words meant to demonize. I say have fun running in your circle American sheep, frankly I don't give a damn anymore as far as trying to get through to the drones.

Again I have no angst toward the overlords and their lackeys, they just do what they do. The American people like being used, they like being slaves, so let them be slaves. Things really should get better as long as they continue to mind their manners, take it like a trooper Amercan sheep. I just wish they would shut up about being broke and depressed, to quell these minor problems you would have to grow a pair and actually think for yourselfs. sit down you'll never think of such a thing.

I'll just sit back and not have angst for those who get away with evil, but laugh at those who continue to sink because they tolerate it.

Tally-ho

First of all I never said you were complaining about being broke or that you were depressed. I am doing very well financially right now but working in my industry you deal with alot of people who are tapped out and who come to us for money.

There is nowhere else to escape to that is really that far removed from the plague that afflicts the world.

My life is pretty damn good but I have the sensitivity to not just gauge things on how I am doing individually. That is the problem too many individualists among the cattle, its really not that hard for a unified group to dominate if you look at things for just a minute or two. What makes me sound "hateful" is my revulsion at so many people being sucked into this puppet show of American politics, for once I wish people would think outside the box, but they never will, that is the frustrating thing, things really could be fixed, and rather easily, with just a good dose of will and courage.

But those are two virtues that are virtually non-existant, any encarnation of it at this time can only be looked at with skepticism on whether their is an altereior motive at work with that person who exposes those values - its always a mirage.

If you don't hate what has been done to this country then something is wrong with you.

I saved the best for last even this is in response to your ribbing me about being hood wearing.

Let this cat school you on how even you have been lead astray by that Klan scam. Give this an honest view, the guy is bi-racial so find some other way to respond that playing the white power card.
