I'm sure you are familiar with the Kennedy and Lincoln comparisons.  Well, this thread is inspired by that, only insert Bar(eb)ack and The Gipper were it is appropriate.  Its uncanny.

I'll start with five:

1.) The parenthesis in Bar(eb)ack's name spells "ed" if the b is flipped backwards.  Ed Asner was a President of the Screen Actors Guild when Ronald Reagan was President of these United States.  Ronald Reagan was also once the President of the Screen Actor's Guild himself.  Reagan helped to purge the communist menace from Hollywood and Ed Asner opposed Reagan's involvement in Central America and supported Communist Guerillas, Castro and various Socialist political causes.  Both Asner and Obama list baked beans as favorite foods.

2.) Ronald and Bar(eb)ack have 6 non-parenthesis letters in their first names.  

3.) Both lived in Illinois at some point.  Bar(eb)ack moved here to represent the state of Illinois, the home of Reagan's birth, in the Senate.

4.) Both spoke or will speak in Berlin to crowds of Germans that once were Nazis and Soviets, or descendants thereof, but now are pretty OK Krauts.  

5.) Reagan had a professional relationship with a monkey named Bonzo.  Drummer John Bonham was nicknamed "Bonzo" and if he were alive today, and an American Citizen, he would vote for Bar(eb)ack in a heartbeat.  But he's dead with Reagan and playing euchre together as we speak.

OK, its your turn.

Obama. He was perhaps one of the most powerful, fastest distinctive drummers of the 20th century playing for one of the greatest rock bands since the Eisenhower administration.

Wait minute...I was dazed and confused but I am beginning to see your point; Bonham smoked marijuana during the 70's as did Barack and and...John Bonham played drums on Kashmir and Barack Obama almost went to Kashmir. What a cosmic coincidence.
