Biden’s Replacement

I read about a poll that showed over 60% of voters want neither Biden nor Trump on the ballot. Another showing a large segment of Dems not wanting Joe to run in 2024.

Well the GOP has a primary field with some serious candidates (governors, senators, a former VP) running against Trump on the GOP side.  But no seriously viable candidate has thrown in the hat against Biden, and won’t if he doesn’t drop out. I personally like Tim Scott or Ron DeSantis for the nomination.

For GOP and conservative commenters: Who do you think would be the likely favorites if Joe dropped out? I think it boils down to a two person race between Kamala and Gavin Newsome.

For Dem and left leaning commenters:  Who would be your first choice pick for the Dem nomination?

Looking forward to reading the replies!

His campaign needs a restart. He needs to hire a professional and take control of messaging.
Count me in with the group who wants neither candidate. I like Joe but I think his time is now over. I hope he steps aside and my ideal candidate would be Michelle Obama but I also like Gavin Newsome for I don't think MO will actually run.

It does look like DeSantis needs a restart.  He’s dropped in the polls since he announced his candidacy.

MO running would really feel like a gut punch to Kamala.
