I've just read two books that should be required reading for any body that wants to join in on the debate as to who should be blamed for 9/11. "Bush at War" by Bob Woodard and "Ghost Wars" by Steve Coll. Thats the order in which I read them, but I would recommend reversing that order. Ghost Wars is a very detailed and verifiable account of everything that went on in Afghanistan from '79 til 9/11 and Bush at War is the story of our fight against the Taliban and al Queda after 9/11. After reading these books it is obvious that there is enuf blame to go around, Clinton was too involved in his impeachment problems to take care of bin Laden, and Bush was too involved with WMD and Iraq, Iran and Korea. But Bush eventually did take care on the Taliban in afghanistan.
Read 'em and you will be astounded as to how much we knew b4 9/11. If only time to read one, make it Ghost Wars.

for him.  Since Bush has this kind of office now, vote him out of office.

Gee - so you're saying the Republicans were indirectly working on behalf of Al Qaeda - distracting the administration.....

Gee Clinton attacked Bin Laden, but was accused of trying to divert attention from the Monica scandel!

In less than two years "George Weasel Bush" has made the US a much greater target for terrorist than ever before!

All I asked you guys to do was read the books so you would be better informed, I took no sides, as there is plenty of blame to go around. Quit seeing everything in a Dem's vs Rep's view and try to gain a better perspective. Talk about "my mind is made up, don't confuse me with facts".
These are well researched books, (particularly ghost wars) that may point out how to avoid future blunders.
