This could give the progressive Dem’s campaign a sorely needed boost, but it’s all dependent on DiFi leaving the seat before the end of her term.
I can't find the post using "Search" (maybe the thread was deleted?), but someone suggested that Newsom could appoint a temporary place holder, agreeable not to run for the full term, like maybe Oprah Winfrey. . He could ask Kamala to take over the seat and let Biden choose a new VP that would be a stronger VP for the ticket. That was shot down fairly quickly. Kamala wouldn't want or accept the insult and the demotion. And, McCarthy and the House would block any strong VP candidate by the 25th Amendment: "Section 2: Whenever there is a vacancy in the office of the Vice President, the President shall nominate a Vice President who shall take office upon confirmation by a majority vote of both Houses of Congress."

This is a race that I thought you, as a Californian, would be interested in. Do you have a preference for one of the candidates in the primary, or are you still in the 6% undecided camp.
There’s plenty of time. There may be other people who will enter the race. We Dems like to study the candidates, unlike Republicans who have already decided that Trump wii be their standard bearer in 2024.
In other words, you’re undecided like 6% of the likely voters in your state. Not ready to contribute, volunteer or even say one Dem candidate in the race is better than the other.
