First of all, it was NOT a speech, it was a PRESS CONFERENCE.  I'm not surprised you don't know the difference.  Biden gave some initial remarks.  It was pre-determined that he would take five questions.  He answered five questions and then said he was going to bed.  Someone asked another question and he answered it too.  At that point, Karine Jean-Pierre stepped in to end the press conference because Biden had fulfilled his obligation to answer reporters' questions and Biden indicated he was done.  That is what ALL press secretaries do at ALL press conferences.
