Even Republicans are seeing the writing on the wall. FDR won in 1936. And it gave Democrats a huge edge in the House and the White House for the better half of the 20th century.

And today the Democrats have done it again. Winning this race means more than a vindication of Obama's policies. It will be a sign of things to come.

And the demographics are telling. The GOP simply cannot compete by winning the angry white male vote.

So you got your minority monolith to save themselves from chains and picking cotton.

We all know that is EXACTLY what the GOP had planned.

like the whiner in chief and his cow wife, complaining about having to actually pay back their free ride thru harvard.

This is all that has been affirmed:
“A democracy is always temporary in nature; it simply cannot exist as a permanent form of government. A democracy will continue to exist up until the time that voters discover that they can vote themselves generous gifts from the public treasury.

From that moment on, the majority always votes for the candidates who promise the most benefits from the public treasury, with the result that every democracy will finally collapse due to loose fiscal policy, which is always followed by a dictatorship.”

You don't believe that parents cut a check to send kids to grade and high school? Sure they do. It is called property taxes my friend. I live in NY and I would not send my kids to 1/2 of the public school districts here. It is either move to a area where the district is top notch, which means higher property taxes or to private school. Either way parents are paying for their kids education.

Well I don't have kids myself but I don't mind paying for others for as you said it helps society as a whole.

The problem you run into in free college education is, is it for everyone? Do we pay for an education for a person that will have no marketable skills when they graduate or only those that do? That is a very slippery slope. We run into the government dicating more and more of what the citzen can and can't do.

And what of those who just graduated, do we forgive their debt?

Well first of all you don't know me or what my opinion is on anything so keep your nasty comments to yourself. Have I in anyway demeaned what you are trying to say - no. Trying to have an honest and open discussion about a subject. And you wonder why this country is the way it is? Look to yourself first.

If you can read properly it was who was to receive the free education? Does the government tell the people who can receive the education and if so is it for everybody? Meaning those who go the college for a skill set or just to waste time in a classroom. And more educated citzens I agree with you on that but not for people who just go to college for the sake of going. If you don't believe people go to college just so they don't have to be in the real world then you need a wake up call.

And I never said you were forcing them.
