…the 97% number is simply made up. By activists and journalists, not by scientists. It is not hard to find plenty of research papers that counter this narrative.  

 
Notice you don’t get the same activism with other scientific claims. Activists are not gluing themselves to fossils to prove evolution. They aren’t throwing orange paint on the CDC headquarter to prove the Germ Theory of Disease. Climate change is a left wing activist political idea that a few scientists protect because it gives them plenty of research dollars. Many smart scientists know this but won’t say anything as it would threaten their research.  

 
A case example is when I talked to a research scientist who studies our sun. He simply refused to comment on climate change and just answered that the complexities of the sun is far more vast than we realize and we’re still learning new things about it every day. He showed me some of his data, and I can tell you he’s not wrong.

What’s dumber perhaps is the notion that sea levels will rise. Anyone who looks at the infrared absorbance spectrum of water knows it takes a shit ton of energy to increase the temperature of water, thus causing it’s thermal expansion.
