Doing anything on the internet, e.g. holding zoom meeting, is highly susceptible to sophisticated hacking from adversaries. For example, I read that the Mossad was able to track the movements of senior Iranian officials and the Supreme Leader by hacking into the country's video surveillance [cameras] systems.

Those "empty building" reports? Straight from Iranian state media—like Mehr News, Fars, and Tasnim. They say it was an old, unused structure, evacuated ahead of time, with no clerics inside... just maybe some clerks counting votes. No big casualties confirmed from that hit alone—probably why they spun it as "no one there."
But here's the rub: Israeli officials told outlets like Times of Israel and Fox that they targeted it mid-gathering, knowing folks were supposed to be there for the succession vote.
