Mein, it seems that you're using the words "religion" and "faith" rather loosely.
From Dictionary.com.
Religion: a set of beliefs concerning the cause, nature, and purpose of the universe, esp. when considered as the creation of a superhuman agency or agencies, usually involving devotional and ritual observances, and often containing a moral code governing the conduct of human affairs.
Faith: the trust in God and in His promises as made through Christ and the Scriptures by which humans are justified or saved.
Or, we could say that faith is the belief in things that you have no evidence for.
No faith is required in the field of abiogensis. I'm hardly an expert in this field, but scientific understanding of the origins of life is based solely upon what the evidence points to. A scientific field is not a religion, simply because it debunks the book of Genesis.
There is no need for a "belief" in evolution, since it is a scientifically proven fact, and can even be observed in real time at a bacterial or viral level. The link below will give you just some of the overwhelming evidence that evolution is indeed a fact.
It is said a good scientific theory can use little to explain a lot. In this way, as Richard Dawkins noted, evolution is quite possibly the best scientific theory of all time.
Given what science has done for the human race, calling it a "Pilot of Industry, Conqueror of Disease, Multiplier of the Harvest, Explorer of the Universe, Revealer of Nature’s Laws, and Eternal Guide to Truth" is a bit of an understatement. Especially compared to what any religion has ever explained. Our lives would be short, brutish and harsh without science, just as it was during the Middle Ages when religion held sway.
To call the theory that Darwin developed "guesses and wild speculations" demonstrates a complete lack of understanding of what Darwin said, especially given that now monumental evidence that exists for evolution.
Conflating religious statements, i.e. "religious people have proven" to statements like "scientists have proven" is utterly retarded. Sorry. No religion has ever attempted to prove a fact. When they can't explain something, it simply relies on "faith" to excuse their ignorance. If science operated the same way, our lives would be short, brutish and harsh.
While science does indeed amend itself with new discoveries, this hardly means that what is known today will be proven false tomorrow. The discovery of gravity is hundreds of years old by now, and yet, I doubt that it's existence will ever be debunked. Our understanding of the nature of gravity will expand, of course, and that's a good thing.
The fact that Bible hasn't changed is 3 millenia is hardly a strong point for it being true. Of course, that's not true itself, as it's changed quite a bit over those years from translation to translation, but setting that aside, it no more explains a single thing then it does the day it was written. The story of Noah's Arch alone is so ridiculous that it shouldn't merit comment from any serious person. Don't get me wrong. It's a cute story for your average 4 year old, but you'd have to be a fool to actually believe it as an adult.
