...What next? this is only a guess but do you suppose Trump will approach Air-bus to compete with Boeing & possibly offer them the AF-1 contract & other defense contracts if they will build the equipment in America, this would be a typical Trump method to crap on the trade unions that build Boeing planes.
The Air Force and Secret Service insist AF1 be a four engine plane and the only qualifying Airbus design is the 380. They aren't and can't easily be built in the U.S. like other AB designs are. Plus there is no present demand for US carriers to operate the AB 380 anytime soon.
I think this whole thing is Trump toying with Boeing. Examining how much money Boeing has contributed to HRC and the Clinton Foundation should tell the story.
Airbus has "trouble keeping them in the air?" Not really. Their safety record is quite good. And the Airbus 380 (even bigger than a 747) has yet to crash. Unlike FatVern, who crashes all the time.
