Now if she had said: "General Patton was considered a general . . ." that would have been peculiar.  As it is, I knew from your lead sentence that it wasn't worth reading anything else you coughed up.

If Limbaugh is still number one for you, you are damaged somehow, Geezer.  Your pro-Limbaugh, Savage, Prager, Hannity, Medved and Bennett fans will never be a political force again.  They'll just be a bunch of rating points from now on.  

I realize it's hard to retract so many years of dittos, but just how wrong, how mendacious, how thoughtless, how bigoted does somebody need to be before you begin to feel stupid.  They got us into this Iraq war as surely as Dubya and his clowns did.

his position was much more mainstream - but as his popularity grew, so did his polarization into the nether regions of the right.  so sad.  He has stated that he models himself after "Bob Grant"! Grant is one of the most bigoted egotistical personalities on radio I have ever had the displeasure to here.  He is rude, arrogant, and somewhat ignorant... and Hannity is more and more like him- every single day.

And this from a somewhat conservative wrt national defense, conservative wrt fiscal policy but somewhat lib with respect to social policy and somewhat conservative with respect to education.  so go figure - I have no use for Hannity and Grant act alikes...

Listen, no Hollywood screenwriter could do justice and derive a character close to Ms. Plame’s panache, intelligence, bravery, class and patriotism.  Here she was defending our country with the only protection, the shield of anonymity.  So what does the President, our so-called Commander-in-Chief do, he unmasks her identity and at the same time jeopardizes her life and everyone who has ever had contact with her, including her children.

Think about it every person she had dealings with is now known to our enemies as a potential CIA spy. It takes years of hard work to develop a CIA operative. Our National Security has been jeopardized and for what, to fire a political salvo.  President GW Bush’s conduct is the most traitorous and vile act of treachery that I can ever remember by American since Benedict Arnold.  

What Bush and Cheney did is analogous to a General revealing to the enemy the coordinates of his soldiers in battle. How any self-respecting patriotic American can defend his cowardly act is beyond me. They truly think they are better than us and that the rules of common sense and moral duty to our country does not apply to them.

Sometimes I like to keep my humor wry and dry.  

No, she presented her issue with remarkable skill, and did it so that there was no ambiguity about it. She showed herself to be an iron-nerved, very serious person and not given to the cronyism with which she has been smeared.  

She also showed without a doubt how much Republicans have tried to smear and distract from the gravity of the crime committed.  I agree with you completely on that.  

Bond Girl: politically incorrect, I know.  But one just doesn't expect the attractive spy with the cool head and the iron-nerves (of either sex) to show up in person. It's a fantasy, but not a reality.  I'm real fan of Mrs. Peel in the Avengers series.  It's the closest thing I've seen to Diana Rigg's character in real life.
