Do you all think charges will be filed against Clinton before Obama is out of office ?

like Abedin and Mills and pardon them all?

what happens if they miss someone?

They have greatly backed off the "indictment" talk. I think that is wise. Lets not criminalize our political foes as that can lead down a very dangerous path.

Obama chose wisely not to go after Bush Inc for "torture" and the same should be done here with Hills, with the facts we know now.

Trump should be going for unity as our nation is so divided.

but I largely agree with your point.

I made the same point when Mari foolishly argued that Bush would be tried for "war crimes", he of course refused to put his money where his mouth was, just like when he claimed Rick Perry was going to go to jail, or at a minimum stand trial.

I think that as deserving as Hillary is of getting a nice long prison sentence, it would go a long ways towards Trump losing his "spiteful, vengeful and vindictive" label if he were to simply "let this go"

I have to confess, I would LOVE to see Hillary put in prison, but she is never going to get near classified information again, She will never be POTUS and she will hopefully slink off into the sunset and become yesterday's news. I doubt anyone, especially Trump or Obama for that matter want to keep either of the Clinton's on the front page. I guess it's fitting that two political dynasties have ended this cycle, Both the Bushes and the Clinton's no longer seem to hold much sway going forward. Unfortunately nature hates a vacuum and I predict we haven't heard the last of the Obama's.

As much as I think HRC deserves to spend some lengthy time in a prison cell, there are other remedies that would better serve the public good. The FBI needs to properly finish and properly report the email case to the new DOJ. The Clinton Foundation investigation is still ongoing and it should also be allowed to reach a proper conclusion as well. If there is a DOJ case for prosecution in either or both cases then negotiations with Clinton (or the Clintons) can proceed. If there is a case to prosecute, unless there is something terribly egregious that we don’t yet know about, I would be in favor of terms that would conclude with HRC giving a very public and personal allocution of her guilt in exchange for no prison time (i.e. not some letter written by her lawyer).

So far this is far different than Nixon. He paid a huge price vis-av-vis his resignation in total disgrace. HRC has paid no price yet. Governors are presently sitting in federal prison for committing for less than what she’s suspected of doing. Of course the wild card here is the OP’s point. Will President Obama pardon her, especially before all the truth comes out? Then again, does some of the truth involve any of Obama’s actions? I think a Presidential pardon would sorely damage his own legacy. He does not like Hillary to begin with so a pardon could be seen as saving himself. He might also use the threat of a pardon as a negotiating chip with Trump in attempt protect some part of his legacy or even to protect himself

Would she even accept a presidential pardon?

When Gerald Ford pardoned Nixon in advance of a possible indictment, he relied on a portion of the text in Burdick v United States, which held that a pardon carried an “imputation of guilt” and accepting a pardon was “an admission of guilt.

Clinton is evil and corrupt, not stupid.

If the offer is given, she'll take it. She can't have any delusions about still having a future in politics. What's she going to do, run for her old Senate seat? No, she is most likely going to be quite busy explaining why she isn't going to be able to deliver on whatever promises she made to get all those nice and not so nice people who gave her millions of dollars with certain expectations as to what that money was buying them.

She lost to Donald Trump, c'mon she lost to Donald Trump, people.

What does it say about her that she lost to Donald Trump? And what does it say about the Democratic party that it couldn't get it's believers to go out to vote? Well, Hillary did get a little over 2 million dead people to vote, but she couldn't get the living to vote, they couldn't be bothered to participate in their civic responsibility to vote. It really pains me that so many people over so many years fought, scratched, clawed and some even died to get women and minorities the right to vote. And today, their descendants can't be bothered with the process that their ancestors did so much to secure. There are over 330 million people in the United States of America and less than 100 million people voted. That is sad people, really, really sad.

Shame on those who didn't vote, if you didn't vote then you have no right to complain, none, period. As far as I'm concerned those people who didn't vote shouldn't even participate in the conversation.

I didn't and wouldn't vote for either Hillary Clinton or Donald Trump, I think it's hideous that in a country of over 330 million people these two clowns were our choice for POTUS. But, I am an American, and it's my responsibility to participate in the process, I would have written in Mickey Mouse if I didn't feel that any of the candidates were aligned  to my views and beliefs.

The candidate who I voted for lost to Donald trump as well, Gary Johnson, but he was always supposed to lose to Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton even when Hillary was viewed as a shoe in.

When I woke up on Wednesday morning, I was happy, and a little scared. Happy because I don't have to listen to and look at that lying, cheating crook anymore. She couldn't win Mayor of a New York town of 20,000 people after losing to, Trump. Are you kidding me, she lost to Trump?

To be clear, I welcome us having a woman President, but not the wrong woman as President just to have a woman as President. The United States of America has confirmed that she was the wrong woman, she lost to Donald Trump. Whether a person has a penis or a vagina is absolutely NOT a qualifier for fitness to lead our country, but if someone can't execute the position of Secretary of State, that person is not qualified to lead our country.

I was a little scared Wednesday morning because I'm not sure what the lunatic Trump is going to do, or which rogue nation he is going to piss off, North Korea or Iran, neither of which really has anything to lose and both of which would be difficult and costly to face in a serious conflict.

Here's the thing people, it's over and it's done, Trump will take office on January 20th. We can piss and moan about it, or we can roll up our sleeves and get to work. This doesn't mean we roll over and not challenge our leadership, in fact it's our job as citizens to challenge and question our leaders, but this senseless, unproductive divisiveness will get us no where and only give those who would wish us harm, time and stealth to plan and execute dastardly deeds.

Don't look back, you're not going that way.

If there was anything criminally fraudulent about his returns, you can bet we would have heard about it BEFORE the election. Unless of course I was right and secretly Obama didn't want Hillary to win so as to clear a path for Michelle to run 4 or 8 years from now.

The Clintons may fade away and die now, just like hopefully the Bushes too, but I promise you, we haven't heard the last of the Obama's

Anyone care to bet?

Where's Cheesy when you need him? lol

Unlike Hillary who had to do things the hard way by running for Senate before shooting for the top spot, I guess Michelle figures Trump went straight for the top job, why shouldn't she?

BTW, the early betting lines for 2020 are already out and right there near the top of the heap at 8-1 is Michelle Obama, way ahead of other likely candidates like Warren, Cruz, Rubio and Biden.

Gambler, Michelle has several aspirations but running for congress I don't think is one of them. As a wife of a former state representative, United States Senator and current president, she knows how much time that takes away from being a parent and her other interest.  She simply was not bred to be a hyper social and professional climber like Hillary was.

Except for all the horseshit about being a parent blah blah blah.

She simply thinks she is above all that hard work that others have to do.

(every single one) still are unable to figure out how they lost 2016 and you're schooling them for 2020.  I'm sure they are taking notes.

You and others arguing these points pretend as if the IRS does not already have Trump's tax returns.
