Many dems/libs are saying Trump is not well prepared for his meeting with kim and his commie thugs. My guess is he and his team have prepared more than he has let on. and are well prepared.  

 
The other preparation going on is the dems/libs  preparing their lies as to how Trump failed before the meetings take place.

 
I bet they have statements of criticism ready now, telling us what Trump did that he should not have done and what he did not do that he should have done.

Trump's handlers have also probably prepared a variety of statements to deal with many scenarios, "good" ones as well as "bad" ones.

This meeting should be a step toward peace in the region. "Peace" will not happen overnight. There isn't even agreement on what "peace" should be (nukes, troops, unification, ...). I hope that there will be more steps forward (as with SK - NK meetings) but there may be some backward slippage along the way.

And every interested party will have their own spin on every microstep along the way.

So I got pretty much what I expected, but it is better than Kim and Trump trading insults about who's "button" was bigger.

 
That said, I have a question for you, who do you think is the "Big spoon" Jake or Laffy? Those two have been sucking face for days now and I can't decide if it's "cute" or nauseating. I guess I will go with a little of both. lmao

 
This freaking out over the supposed suspension of our war games with S Korea is especially laffable. The games aren't until fall, still several months away, if sufficient progress has been made than "maybe" we won't conduct them, It's hardly comparable to sending plane loads of cash to them like Obama did with the Iranians.

 
Speaking of Obama, just how dumb is a policy of "Strategic Patience"??? It makes about as much sense as a Bible thumper trying to "pray away" a problem. Since when is "Just hoping shit works out" a strategic policy?  I am not like some righties who are gushing over the summit, quite frankly all I see are Kim and Trump pulling back from the "brink" and not much else, but even that minor achievement is worlds better than simply doing nothing and waiting for the next guy to deal with it AFTER North Korea has become a legitimate nuclear power.

 
Lastly, I agree that peace is not going to happen overnight, even agreeing what "peace" really is will be a considerable challenge.  I do find huge irony in watching the Dems DEMAND that Trump get tough. I mean that is about as ironic as it would be to have LTM&L demanding civility and honesty here on HIS board. BTW, I think LTM is the little spoon and Jake is the big spoon in their relationship, How about you?

now that Kim Jong-Un has hosed them both up the ass in Singapore.  Trump got nothing but the same vague promises Kim had already made weeks ago.  In return, Trump agreed to suspend joint military exercises with South Korea and the result will be to eventually degrade our military deterrent on the Korean peninsula.
Kim got legitimacy on the world stage that Korea has sought for decades and blunted our military deterrent.  And he gave up nothing.
So much for all you Trumpies who thought Trump was such a great deal-maker.  So much for all of you who derided the Iran nuke deal, because this one is infinitely worse.
Now watch Kim do a rope-a-dope for a few years until Trump is out of office and nothing has changed.

Dopey as ever I see so let me educate you. Trump has already received several things:
1) the hostages WITHOUT paying a ransom. Ahem.
2) NK has stopped their missile tests.
3) NK has stopped their nuke tests.
4) NK has stopped their threats against Hawaii, Guam, etc.

And no, Jake, Jong-Un has NOT "blunted our military deterrent." He has done NOTHING of the sort. The deterrent is still in place and will remain in place UNLESS Trump Inc sees verifiable proof that NK is serious in de-nuking. You made the same dumbass mistake in your post re: the war games. Trump stopping them is CONTINGENT on NK following the steps to de-nuke.

ALL of the things you cite Trump "got" were -- like everything else I mentioned -- already OLD NEWS by the time of the summit.  So Trump gave up the military exercises without receiving anything new and reciprocal in return.  WHY? He's a feckless negotiator.
You forgot to mention he also got the corpse of Otto Warmbeir.
And as for your ignorant comment about Trump not blunting out military deterrent, how do you not get that troops who sit in their barracks instead of practicing with their allies become stale and less effective?  If that's not true then WHY has the US refused to do this over decades of threats by North Korea?

As for Trump giving anything up, what Trump promised Kim could much more easily be an "empty promise" than what Kim promised us. The "games" are not scheduled until months from now and if Kim hasn't made any progress on his promises to us there is nothing stopping us from proceeding with the games as previously scheduled.

Trump gave up NOTHING Jake. Again, with your raging TDS I can see how you get this wrong time and time again. He didnt "give up the military exercises" as you so stupidly state. He will ONLY do that IF Kim follows through with his promises of de-nuking.

 
Look, if you have a problem with Trumps policies, well that's fine, but lying about them or being unaware of what they really are just makes you look more unhinged and disjointed from reality than I could have possibly imagined.

The document signed the other day is NOT the final agreement and can be easily negated if kim does not comply or is dragging his feet in getting things done. Clearly you and your hate cult do not have the courage, honor or integrity to admit it.  

 
Also Trump got kim to agree to the repatriation of the remains all Troops missing in Korea.  
But they were just brave American Soldiers, so you would not care about them and their families.

and it seems like the meeting went well and I hope that Kim Jong Un is somewhat sincere and Trump knows what he is doing. Haven't heard a peep from China or Russia about the meeting? This can end really well or really bad.

I turn on the news and I see Trump , the first POTUS ever , standing next to a North Korean leader in an attempt to finally solve the problem instead of ignore it .  

Then I go into my memory bank and find the photo of the day I turned on the news and saw that dumbass Obama at Mandela’s funeral standing next to the phony sign language idiot who duped his way to within 3 feet of a POTUS . All because pussy Obama allowed South Africa dictate the use of USSS while in country .  

Now that’s some preparation for you .
