Prediction -- Trump verdict

I'm predicting the Trump verdict in NY will be guilty on all counts.  The judge said he will instruct the jury that they state doesn't have to prove intent.  That's a lower standard than for most crimes.  The judge is paving the way for a guilty verdict.

Especially after the abysmal performance of Trump's legal team in making their "case" by only offering the disastrous Costello. If I was a juror I'd be saying to myself, "If this is the best they can do, their client is clearly guilty."
It's clear that Trump is driving the strategy because his lawyers are too experienced to have done this on their own.

I said it from the start, there will be one or more Trumpers on that jury that will never convict Trump of anything and they can hang their hat on Michael Cohen's numerous lies, crimes and theft from the man he was testifying against. Those jurors will have visions of Trump calling them up on stage at a Trump rally as he is their god.

I’m figuring at least one juror will abide the “beyond a reasonable doubt” standard and not vote to convict.

The judge did NOT say he will instruct the jury that the People do not have to prove intent.

The parties were discussing the proposed jury instructions.  The standard jury instruction reads that the defendant acted  with the intent to defraud that included an intent to commit or conceal another crime.  Trump's lawyers proposed an additional line - the people must establish TWO SEPARATE INTENTS, the intent to defraud AND the intent to commit or conceal the aid of another crime.

Trump's lawyers said they knew that their proposed language is not the official criminal jury instructions.  Judge Merchan said he’d keep the standard language of the jury instructions which does say the People DO have to prove intent.

has to prove a separate intent for the second crime, the judge is making a conviction a near certainty. Instead, the jury is going to be instructed only that the state must prove Trump had an intent to defraud untethered to any crime, which somehow includes not only the intent to falsify the business records but also an intent to commit any other crime, or to aid or conceal the commission thereof.

Not sure who Trump is intending to defraud- certainly not the voters of New York – he knew they were not going to vote for him anyway. Maybe national voters but that is federal, not state.

But what is really outrageous and Kafkaesque is that, with this instruction, the jury can convict Trump of a felony because of something he thought – even though he never did it.

The judge is now going to instruct the jury that they don't have to unanimously agree on the underlying crime.

but he will go free. I can't see a unanimous verdict especially when one select Juror said he is "Fascinated by Dumpy Donald"

The sentencing is 4 days before the GOP convention, so Trump will be in jail during the convention and all during the campaign time before election. (Unless he can get an appeal delay.)

And MAGats will scream foul, rigged blah blah blah…
LOCK HIM UP!!😂😂😂

Containment of the Marxists will be key to prevent them from doing further damage. The blockade will need to be on land and on sea. And airports will need to be monitored as well.

And life goes on. Trump supporters won’t do shit,In time no one will give a shit about trump except his cult followers
The Drip, drip, drip will finally takes its toll on Trump.
I’ll be surprised if the GOP will back him at the convention
“Yo Nikki, can we talk “….😂😂😂
