Now Romney is swinging wildly, and Gingrich is a very good counter-puncher, especially during debates! This could really turn out badly for Mitt.

Given the shitty economy, it SHOULD be easy to beat Obama.   Look at history -- when the economy sucks, the incumbent prez. loses-- Bush I, Carter, etc.

But the Republicans MAY actually manage to fuck this up -- if they keep beating each other up it helps DEms---also Mitt could lose to Obama--he's to stiff and out of touch.   Having Cayman island accounts is excellent material for attach ads.

Anytime you have a close primary, the proceedings get nasty with lots of fingerprinting,  Remember just four years ago at this time when Hilary and Obama were trashing each other on a daily basis?  And, by the fall, they played nice together and helped Obama win the election.

This happens all the time.  Standard operating procedure.
