if Pence fucks up his coronavirus assignment.  If he does, he's expendable, if he doesn't he's a hero, so I think Pence is master of his own fate at this point.  We should know his record on virus control well before the conventions.

By the way, the WHO did not even declare this an emergency until January 31st.  Trump put in the incoming China travel ban before that.
