praying for their salvation, are not good Christians. Well, so we really can't be sure. Typical Christians, maybe so. But we should always aspire to something better.
Like me: I aspire to and pray daily for the Rev. Robertson's salvation and return to the Kingdom of God. I figure that God will see to it that most of his sheep will come to me, and so I ask daily that the Rev Robertson be redeemed, sort of like turned in for Green Stamps; and that day cannot come too soon to deliver Heaven's son from this vale of tears, so that a slightly larger portion is left to minister in my decaying years.
Let us pray. Dear God, whosoever art in Heaven, let me abbreviate the formalities and extraneous verbiage and surplusage, to demand an immediate guarantee of the delivery of my brother Pat's share to my fold, within the fortnight. And I solemnly promise that if my prayer is fulfilled, I will not ask for Jim Dobson's share, or any extraordinary effort like lightning on San Francisco, brimstone on Washington, or the Charger Girls in my budoir, for the next 10 business days.
