what do YOU truly know about these two, GaGa?
...for Trump
And hopefully the slide continues. If Trump deteriorate campaign at this rate, he may get maximum 30%-35% of votes in November . The best strategy for Biden is to even avoid the debates just as Trump was suggesting back in December 2019 when Trump was thinking the he is going to win in November 2020 ![]()
That's probably the smartest thing you have said since you've been here.
Actually the less Biden says PERIOD, the better for him.
for granted here OR you are just "wishful" thinking out loud. Even with a gaffe or two, Biden will smother Trump. Way too many people have grown tired of Trump's insult and filibuster antics. Any debate will clearly show that Trump has absolutely no grasp of the issues that face our nation before.
Trump was elected as a result of his inordinate number of baseless claims. Those baseless claims have run out of dead ends. It is obvious to all, just how inept and lacking in values, Trump can be. Evident to all, Trump is getting worse, not better, as some of his followers hoped, "if he could only get elected." Trump had his chance and screwed it up, royally.
Bye, bye, Trump. The more debates, the better for Biden. Watch Trump continue to place outlandish conditions on his willingness to participate in any debate and then after one humongous flop, back out of any remaining debates. That is if Trump even decides to debate once.
Trump can think on his feet, Biden can never find the words he's looking for and appears to be confused when asked the simplest of questions. Even with Morning Joe and Rachel Maddow as moderators they simply won't be able to carry him over the finish line. Biden should really be thanking Mini Mike for taking all the heat in the last two debates, If Kamala had gone after him again he never would have survived. I guarantee you that Joe is going to blow up and lose his cool at least once during the debates, Trump will trash talk him, Biden won't be able to find the words to fight back and he'll blow his top and threaten to beat him up, just like he has done to potential voters a few times already this year.
Biden isn't going to have gaffes, Biden most likely will have a full blown meltdown on national tv for all to see.
And the trump response is "I know you are but what am I"...lol
Man you give this cat too much credit. C'mon man..wake up
know better. This last post was part of his deflection, "stick up for Trump at all costs," campaign. A feeble attempt at most, but at least he is still trying. Keeps us all entertained.

... TRUMP: Such a nasty woman.
... TRUMP: It is rigged.

I was looking for another clip but I got this Sesame St. clip instead! Donald Grump! King of Trash!
with little public speaking experience, and armed with little more than his big picture ideas and Republican talking points. For example, he knew nothing about the Affordable Care Act, except the Repubs wanted to repeal it. And he did that against some pretty formidable opposition. Ted Cruz was supposedly a great debater. Chris Christie, John Kasich – very smart guys. Way ahead of Joe.
Trump deftly deflected the few moderators that tried to pin him down typically by either lying, or misrepresenting his policies, or what he said. Only Megan Kelly really laid a glove on him.
Now Trump has had almost four years of on the job training, extensive public speaking experience, and countless reporters asking tough questions. He knows what the government’s policies, who the foreign leaders are, the problems with the big social programs etc. To say he can’t think on his feet is little ridiculous. Plus- and this is a BIG PLUS – he is now the President and the moderators will not push him as far as they did candidate Trump- if they do, he will simply filibuster. So he is bound to do better than in 2016.
Biden should be concerned.
Trump has spent literally thousands of hours talking directly to a VERY unfriendly press and taking questions from them for literally hours on end. This is Trump's wheelhouse and any objective observer has had to have noticed how rattled Joe gets and how hard it is for him to find the words to answer even the simplest of questions. Face it, Joe gets flustered, even if you want to call what Trump does bloviating, he's still firmly in charge of what he is saying. Joe is not.
Back to Joe, does anyone remember just how many times he said "My time is up" during the debates with a bunch of third stringers? As far as "quality of opposition" who has Biden faced? Pocahontas, she wiped the floor with him, but backed off. Kamala Harris, she wiped the floor with him and then backed off. Crazy Commie Bernie also was a superior debater, but like the rest of them, kept the gloves on. The rest of the Dems Biden faced on the debate stage weren't even worthy of being called third stringers, they were all lightweights and none of the Dem Debates got down and dirty, so poor old Joe is going to go into the debates in much less than "fighting shape"
Trump absolutely has NOT "spent literally thousands of hours talking directly to a VERY unfriendly press and taking questions from them for literally hours on end."
What the heck are you talking about? Whenever confronted with something stupid he has clearly said or done, Trump insults the questioner, ignores him/her, and moves on to a question he can dodge.
This will NOT work in any 2020 debate. Watch and see.
but if you watch it live as it happens like I do, you will see Trump fielding question after question, yes literally "for hours on end" sometimes, and virtually all of it is hostile questioning. Forgive me if I believe my own lying eyes rather than believe what CNN tells me happened several hours after the fact.
To be honest that is what caused me to pay attention to Trump in the first place, four years ago I'd watch a new conference or Trump out on the campaign trail and I would hear him live and unedited make a series of statements and then several hours later I would listen to what the MSM would "claim" he said and it would be night and day. It made me wonder, if they had to lie so badly about the guy, maybe there was something to him, and here we are today talking about his reelection chances.
wrong! Who are you trying to convince, yourself? My post cited the results of live broadcasts of Trump behaving, EXACTLY as I posted. No "second hand" info here, I watched Trump behave in the despicable manner I described.
What were you watching Breitbart or streams from some other alt right media outlet?
to respond to any debate question.
First, he trashes and blames someone else. “The Pandemic? Biden and the Obama administration gave the Wuhan Institute if Virology $7.5 million. Obama left us unprepared. The WHO dropped the ball.”
Second, he praises his efforts. “I stopped the grant to the Wuhan Lab. Then I stopped travel from China. Restocked ventilators. Created great testing capacity. I’ve done a great job.”
Third, he predicts a rosy future. “Thanks to my timely reopening of the economy, things are going to be better than ever next year. Only I could have done this. ”
Finally, he throws in a jab at Hunter Biden and Burisma. “A lot of people are saying Hunter Biden had something to do with this- why did the China give him 1.5 billion to invest? Why the grant to the Wuhan Lab? He should be investigated.”
Biden has a sputtering meltdown in response.
The fact checkers will pull an all nighter but so what? The voters Trump is trying to reach don’t read fact checkers.
Watch Trump use this formula on all of the debate questions.
fall for this are his KKK and uneducated followers. Normal people know better. Make no mistake about it. You can put a fork in Trump, he IS done!
See you in November. Will remind you then, just how wrong you are.
confused or I overestimated you. If one of my students failed to address a question on an essay exam, and danced around the subject matter, spewing all kinds of irrelevant garbage, in a two-page response, I would NOT call that genius. I would call that an ill-prepared failure and a feeble attempt to throw a bunch of trash against the wall, hoping something would stick.
This is Trump to a "T." He is ill-prepared, rarely knows even surface level details about ANY subject, yet has the ignorant, uneducated, and racists convinced he knows what he is talking about. One need not be a professor to get it. Surprised you, yourself, do NOT get it Mari.
How easily you are convinced that cow manure is the highest grade of beef. Guess I was wrong about you, Mari. "Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice"--well, you know.
I made the rather obvious point that Trump would do better in the November debates than in the 2016 debates bc he has four years of the experience that comes from being president. I explained in the second post how Trump would prevent being exposed on policy issues by handling all issues the same way as part of his genius at self promotion. I concluded that his debate performance would be sufficient to reach the Deplorables- a/k/a the voters who elected Trump in 2016.
In a previous post, I pointed out my concern that COVID 19 will cause a historically low turnout- and that means the candidate with the truly passionate support has an advantage. For all these reasons, I think Biden should be concerned about the debates.
Not sure how I can post “irrelevant garbage” and dance around what you see as “the issues” in my own post, but if you think Trump will enter the 2020 debates with no greater depth of knowledge and comfort than he had in 2016, and Biden has no reason to be concerned, you are certainly entitled to that opinion.
Have a nice day.
First, because turnout in elections since the COVID crisis began has been unusually high because circumstances have motivated people to vote.
Second, because more than 30 states have "no excuse" vote by mail options and about five more do ALL their voting by mail.
Trump can run but he can't hide.
thing, Mari. There is a certain group of voters who would stick with Trump, no matter how foolish/ignorant he looks.
But as far as Trump being in command of ANY issue, that is not going to happen. His insult, filibuster, self-aggrandizement routine is pretty played out and anyone outside of the group I outlined above is simply not buying it.
As far as Trump's genius, I do NOT see that either. If you call; flooding peoples minds, with more lies, more stupid actions, more outrageous claims than people can keep up with, let alone hold him accountable for--genius, then we disagree again. My education aside, I live in New York and most of us New Yorkers have far more of a "show-me" attitude than those who live in Missouri. We simply do not fall for all the scams and P.T. Barnum barkers as others may be prone to doing.
Not sure how I could paint a clearer picture, but Mari, this IS how I and most other Americans of normal intelligence see it. Trump is NOT a genius by any stretch of the imagination and his actions while purely evil and devious aren't either. I rest my case.

You guys elected DeBlasio.
I rest MY case. lol
You also elected BEG (Bug eyed girl) AKA Alexandria Ocasio Cortez, but now I am piling on unnecessarily
what do YOU truly know about these two, GaGa?
Even Democrats hate DeBlasio.
know nothing about him!
most of the interviews are from friendly Fox, but you are correct Trump has given many, many interviews to the unfriendly media (but not CNN) including the Post, the NYT, and the WSJ as well as the networks that will prepare him for the debates. He did not have that level of interrogation at the time he sailed through the Republican debates. And, therefore, he will be better prepared for the presidential debates.
That is just common sense. And I have not seen a responsive post to this point. “Trump is bad” or Trump is going to lose is not responsive to the question of how he will fair in the debates.
but its not that much of a stretch. It's not just the interviews he gives, but every time he goes somewhere he fields questions from the press, the press is rarely (never) friendly, but he will do a back and forth with them for extended periods of time several times a week. I have NEVER seen a POTUS so accessible to the press.
Once again, people who get all their news from the networks on their evening broadcasts would never know this, I OTOH have either CNBC or Fox Business on pretty much all day, which is why I see a lot of this stuff live. Rarely is it reportedly accurately later on the same evening. The networks will pick through an hours worth of Trump talking to the press and cherry pick the worst 10-15 seconds to air on their evening broadcast.
topic are 100% wrong and have me wondering if you are simply baiting those who know better.
No, GaGa, he does NOT engage or willing answer questions that call him out for his stupid words/actions.
No, GaGa, there is NO back and forth. How could there be "follow-up" when he refuses to answer the tough questions, period? "That's a nasty question," is one of his canned replies to a tough question.
No, GaGa, this is not something covered by the "evening news." These conclusions are easily reached by watching LIVE broadcasts of countless Trump's exchanges with the media.
How could you be so out of touch? Or is this just what you have been telling yourself to justify voting for the biggest POS our nation has ever elected to any public office?
I hope the format is via remote connections (like a zoom meeting) and that there is only ONE active screen and microphone at a time ... preferably with an electronically activated on-off switch. "You have 3 minutes. Starting in 3-2-1-Go!" After 150 seconds, a 30 second warning; then, at 180 seconds, your microphone goes dead. And the other side has a dead microphone and can't interrupt or create distractions. ... Trump would go crazy. I mean go even MORE crazy.
Joe is not.

If they occur they will be fine political entertainment and perhaps a couple of kernels to be found in all the chaff. But at the end of the day we pretty much have two largely undesirable candidates so I don't think anyone is voting for the person but something else. Some will be party line, some will be against the establishment (prior status quo) some will be against one or the other person.
For Biden, and probably why he might win, will be no one votes for him but for the people behind him -- he's just not as likeable a Reagan was. I don't think as many in the USA have as much trust in what is behind Trump (if anything really is there other than him)
satirical posts? I sure hope so. If not, you have lost all credibility, in my book. Trump sailed through the GOP primary debates for a number of reasons.
First, the field was huge and unmanageable for even the most experienced moderator. Viewers had an even more difficult time coming to any conclusions about the substance of ANY of the GOP candidates.
Second, the other 67 candidates on the stage picked each other off, giving Trump ample time to avoid attention and gather himself as everyone else jockeyed for position.
Third, Trump addressed NONE of the issues, he simply fired volleys of insults at anyone who directed a comment his way. Not to mention, moderators allowed Trump to totally avoid anything even remotely resembling an issue.
Four years later? Come on, Mari, have you been asleep these past four years? Trump couldn't articulate an issue beyond a broad generalization or a very feeble stab at one of his team's talking points, before straying off topic, losing his train of thought, and delivering self-aggrandizing comments or hurling insults.
Where have you been Mari? Could you be testing the waters for a stint as a stand-up comedian or did your secretary spike your morning coffee with kool-aid? Please come clean.
I’ve seen plenty of Biden speeches to know you are flat out wrong. His struggles with stuttering are well known. His learned method for controlling it at times gives him a flat effect But it is what he says and not the way he says it that counts and he will simply bury Trump with facts that Trump has been lying about since day one. Biden has Trumps own record to use against him. Trump has nothing but unmitigated bullshit and people are fully aware of it now.
Besides the Republican elite are dropping Trump like a rock. As far as my own wishful thinking, I suspect we will be seeing a lot more of Pence these days and it may very well be Biden v Pence in November with Trump running as an independent.
That's probably the smartest thing you have said since you've been here. Actually the less Biden says PERIOD, the better for him.
And yes, one of these days you should teach us how to dance since you are so smart. BTW, which one is you in below video?
trump and Biden both agree to not defund the police. So on that note, Biden will then announce a toast to not defund the police. Biden then rises his bottle of water to toast their agreement....then lets see what trump does. On the toast trump will probably fumble the bottle the way Wendell Tyler fumbles a football...
Anyway, I don't see trump engaging in the debate. Just name calling and throwing out fake shit.
That's what everyone, including Hillary, thought last time and now we have POTUS Donald J Trump. underestimate him at your own risk.
Just remember Trump became POTUS in his very first run for public office of any kind.
