It was a close one, but just weeks ago Wisconsin incumbant Supreme Court judge David Prosser, and an ally of the Walker administration, was considered a shoe in. Today, it appears that Justice Prosser will soon be out of a job. JoAnne Kloppenburg has beaten David Prosser in Tuesday's election, which will shift the balance of power from a 4-3 conservative majority to a 4-3 liberal majority.

...gee, I wonder if there's any bills the Wisconsin Assembly has passed lately that the court is going to take a look-see at?

Klooppenberg did "win," but only by less than 300 votes out of more than 1 million.  In other words, there will be a recount, and with such a slim plurality, a reversal is certainly possible.  Remember when Al Francken won?  It wasn't even this thin and it took months before he was seated.

But it was against an incumbent and should have been an easy win for the GOP backed incumbent judge.
The fact that he lost is a significant rebuke of Governor Walker and the GOP policies!

Its called voter fraud and I will be willing to bet there was some of this in Wisconsin.  I wont speculate by who.  But rest assured there will be a recount and if there was fraud it will be unconvered.  Sometimes I love America

Hmmmm.  "Willing to bet" there was voter fraud and "won't speculate by who."  Why so vague?
PS:  I always love America.

Just read the news.  I am not even talking about Fox.  Why don't you sign on aol the most liberal internet provider out there and search fraud and Wisconsin and Supreme court race.  I don't think it really matters if she wins now as she wont be seated when it goes to the supreme court.  I believe time is on the Republicans side on this one.  Unfortunately if the elected officials just did their job and voted instead of running out of state.  This conversation and the supreme court race would have different results.  Call me crazy, but I am a realist.

The number/occurences of "voter fraud" in this country is equal to the percentage of virgins on this site. "Voter fraud" isn't the problem in this country ... PERIOD! The problem we have is "ELECTION fraud" and we can no longer trust election results. IE Votes not being counted/verified and the fact that we vote on MACHINES/computers. We're the only civilized country/democracy/republic that uses machines. Why is it we can't get a "receipt" for our vote, but we can get an ATM receipt with our bank balance 24/7 from virtually anywhere? Why is it "exit polls" were 99% accurate in this country until we switched mainly to "voting machines" roughly 12-15 years ago? See "Hacking Democracy."

I said it was less than 300 votes, and, yes, I agree it should have been an easy win for the incumbent.  I'm glad it happened and hope the Dem wins.  I was just saying that Willy declaring victory is waaaay premature.

Well, of course she has!  So what?  The only thing that matters is the final count.  I'll be happy to celebrate her victory when it's over.  But let's not have any "premature congratulations."

Gov. Walker tried to downplay this election by saying that Milwaukee is in a dark blue part of the state. Funny thing, the previous guy who held this job was....Scott Walker. And Abele won this election with more than 60% of the vote.
