PS: The sentence was 13 years LESS than the government wanted and consistent with the other sentences given considering that Tarrio was the orchestrator of the most serious part of the attack on Congress. Also, afterwards he took credit for it despite not having been present.
He's guilty as sin. Let him rot.
And cry.

Considering that Pezzola shouted "Trump won!" after her pleading and the sentencing, I think that Ms. Magee was wrong.

Someone who inundates himself with Fox News day and night should seriously consider pleading not guilty by reason of insanity.  It certainly explains the posts of some TER righties.

Does the Judge sign the sentencing documents BEFORE or AFTER he announces his decision? If there's a delay (got to back to the office to have the clerks type things up so papers can be signed) is it possible to recall the defendant with, "I'm sorry. I haven't signed the papers yet and I need a minor clarification before I finalize the sentencing. Did you just shout "Trump won!" on your way out? [Yes.] Thank you. The sentence is now the original 10 years + 3 years supervised release and I am adding another 5 years for arrogant stupidity and lying to this court."

these were property crimes, and so the punishment does not fit the gravity of the crime.  It's complete overkill.  Billions of dollars were lost in property crimes during the Democrat riots of 2020, and the Liberal leaders treated it as no big deal.  Those that WERE charged with a crime were summarily bailed out by a fund promoted by Kamala Harris.  She said, "They SHOULD riot, and it's not going to stop."  Now this guy gets 22 years.  Seems like a double standard to me.  

 
This was all predicable when the Washington elites think they are on hallowed ground and no one should dare do to them what other Dems are doing in other cities.  When I first saw the movie "Hunger Games" I thought it was far-fetched, but the more we have double standard in DC and the rest of the country, the more it looks like we are headed to a similar society.

was no bloodshed.  NOBODY was killed by any alleged insurrectionist, so at best, it was a violent riot, much the same tactics as the Democrats used in the summer of 2020 to ravage cities across the country.  

 
The Civil War was technically an armed insurrection.  Do you have any idea of how many died in that?

There have been lots of those. But Jan. 6 was certainly violent. One deserving rioter was shot to death (and deserved it). One cop died a day later.
140 cops were assaulted
114 were injured.
I'd call that a violent insurrection.

than the Democrat riots of 2020.  Many more deaths and much more property damage.  A group of rioters actually took over an area of a city and declared their own country.  Why did the Dems not call THAT an insurrection?  Dems have two vocabularies, one that is Easter bunnies and flowers that they use for Dems and then Hellfire and Demons that they use for Republicans for exactly the same conduct.  Can't you see the irony here, or at least the double standard?

And taking over part of a city is TAME compared to taking over the national Capitol and trying to overturn a national election. It started out as a peaceful protest and turned into a riot. It was NOT A planned insurrection . If it had of been it would have succeeded and we would have a very different government now WHICH WE DO NOT!  

In fact, what we have is the Dems favorite talking point that you all love to go on about endlessly. Now the difference in prosecution between BLM Antifa riots, and the Capitol Hill riots are obviously different. If you won’t admit that then that’s your political bias and intellectual dishonesty showing through.

And now HAPPY… is on record admitting they he’s fine with lawlessness if it’s his side doing it. 🫣
