Amazingly, we are now the most crime free city in the world. Not one felony or even petty crime in the last 2 days. Rather than carjacking, criminals now wash your windows gratis. All the locked stuff in the drugstores and grocery stores are now open. I expect Trump to release the crime statistics next week along with a revised jobs and inflation report. Here is my prediction:  job creation in Jully- 2 million, inflation - 0.001%, crime- down 5000%. Do you love the MAGA world

It's only been a few days. Nothing has changed other than some more arrests than usual.

You can't be serious?  this is Trump the "channel changer" creating non-problems to impose non-solutions, thus deflecting attention from more serious, real problems. First deployment was to the Washington Monument, one of the safest places on the planet, at least since 9/11

A visible police presence is good for everyone, unless you're one of the young thugs who are always running amok in the city.  Is it any wonder that practically every chain store has abandoned SE DC?  

People forget what NYC was like prior to Giulianni's reign.  
You ALWAYS had to look over your shoulders in broad daylight, grafitti, trash.......
By the late 1990's I recall being able to walk practically anywhere downtown without any fear whatsoever; even taking shortcuts across alleyways..  

With over 20+ different police forces in DC alone, there is NO reason, why DC should have the crime rate that it does.  
(**I have lived in the DMV for 50 years**)

The next step would be to get rid of the liberal prosecutors (who ruin the hard work of police), that immediately release these young shits.  I had friends and family getting harrassed on the RED line Metro in the middle of the afternoon.  Absolutely unacceptable.
