Seriously, what did you guys expect? I knew way too many people who supported Trump because he claimed to be "tough on crime." Well guess what, that includes us. Now I'm against trafficking. I hope everyone here is. But as far as the fucking government is concerned, paid sex between consenting adults is also illegal. They've been cracking down on CL and BP for a long time. I fully expect BP will follow suit soon and take down their ads too. The thing is, this doesn't make it any safer for the providers. It just forces everything further underground. I have no problem with them going after people who are exploiting others, but they're going to go after everyone. My advice is to stay low. Stick to your regulars if you have any. This isn't something that's just going to blow away. In fact, THIS site may disappear too so be prepared.

...The House previously passed FOSTA and it was combined with the Senate's version - SESTA.

Websites are reacting (overreacting?) in anticipation of what may happen.  Maybe things will settle down when the dust clears.  Maybe not, so platforms aren't taking any chances.  I linked an article below entitled:  "The Senate just Passed a Bill That Puts Sex Workers in Danger."

The law will make websites like TER liable for what their users say and do on their platforms.  SESTA  could punish platforms for users’ behavior—specifically, discussions of prostitution and sex trade.  Adult actress Lorelei Lee said:  “People who target sex workers for violence, stalking, and exploitation KNOW that we don't have recourse through traditional channels—the police and judicial systems fail us, many sex workers don't have familial resources, and the media and society at large engage in victim blaming of sex workers on a grand scale...What we have is each other. So the ability to share information quickly and widely in our community is the main way that we stay safe.”

Rand Paul and Ron Wyden, with McCain abstaining. Democrats did not make stand against this.

In February, the House version of the bill, Allow States and Victims to Fight Online Sex Trafficking Act (FOSTA), passed. Eleven Democrats and 14 Republicans voted no, with 18 abstentions. The American Civil Liberties Union, The National Center for Transgender Equality, and Freedom Network USA, an alliance of advocates who say they support a human rights-based approach to human trafficking, all opposed the bill.

Just look at the Hollywood types supporting it e.g. Seth Myers and Amy Schumer. Also Kamala Harris is the one who started it all. She was the main champion of the legalisation. This is not a red vs blue issue. Workers are completely isolated on this.

This will just make women even more dependent on the State.  Instead of earning income from consensual activities they will have babies to get support from the State.  I predict an exponential rise in single moms.

The bill was drafted and introduced by a GOP congresswoman from MO. Democratic attempts to water it down were soundly resisted by the majority.  The GOP owns this.

SESTA passed in the House with 388-25, and the Senate 97-2 (McCain was not present to vote). This is bipartisan assfucking, not just something from the right.

was my pick.  I feel so sick knowing that he didn't have a chance because he is too good for the blackmail game.  We no longer have a democracy.  We have wolves that want to send us to federal prison or kill us for gods sake, if we don't want to play the pharmaceutical game and wish to treat our own bodies with an herb that is not near as dangerous.  The real drug dealers are CVS that send me text messages everyday wanting to know if I need a refill. :(  Fucked up world we live in.  "Freedom's just another word for nothing left to lose"  Republicans have nothing to sell but fear, fear and more fear.  As a fair-minded individual, I have never felt so powerless over my own body.

My baby machine was shut down after 1 child which was enough.

But soon, I will have all my doctors that say my prognosis is poor and I will never recover from my accident; to start the process of Social Security Disability for me.  I do not feel guilty about this as a tax payer my whole adult life working and having injuries by someone else's negligence.   After trying to purchase insurance and take care of myself with a private business and still coming up short.  I came back to this hobby to keep the government out of my business and not need their support.  I think the time has come now to make the government pay my healthcare and give me my Social Security I have paid my whole adult life.

But your attitude is one of the main things wrong with our country.  There are just too many takers.

That's the type of thing I would have kept to myself.

Lefties need to wipe the drool off their chins and finally come to the realization that Bible Thumping Righties, while not exactly friendly to the sex trade, are NOT the ones leading the charge against us.

It's easy to make a post declaring that "righties" have done this to us, but said headline is a LIE. I find it ironic that the guy who has been screaming at the top of his lungs about the lies of others has the gall to post a lie of this magnitude.

except for Meet and Greet –hard to believe that one is still up. I do think they will all have to be moderated, however, to protect against users who post “Thread ads” or the "pick me" posts on the Vegas Board.  To the extent that users post “prostitution should be legal” or discuss the sex trade abstractly etc that is clearly protected political speech as opposed to the lightly protected commercial speech of the ads. Ironically, the much maligned P & R Board is probably the one board most likely to survive unaffected.

Even ads for countries where prostitution is legal are problematic - the statute makes it only an "affirmative defense" where the ad is so targeted.

I don’t see how the “fantasy” reviews can survive – they “promote or facilitate the prostitution of another person” and fall within the breathtakingly broad new federal crime created just as much as the ads.   What about escort websites? No crime created by the lady herself unless she offers a doubles  partner but I would think the problem is the web master who owns or operates the site.  A sea change for the on line community.

yes I was upset when I wrote that.  I realize I should not have said "soon".  In fact, I see that option as a last resort.  My business is still okay right now and I let the fear get to me.  This is really scary stuff right now.  And by the way, I have never been a "taker" my whole life.  I actually overpaid my taxes last year from having a horrible year in business.  And according to at least one of my clients that owns a car dealership, this has been his worst year in business in 17 years.  Every single month.
