I'm a little surprised that politicians haven't yet made our drivers licenses or state-issued ID cards carry all that info. That's going to be a pain when they do.

(Not all illegal immigrants are from Mexico, but that's what people think when they hear "illegal immigrant.")

The military ID card for both active, reserve, national guard, and retired individuals pretty much fulfills that requirement. There is a strip on the reverse side that can only be read by a scanner programmed to do so. It contains every assignment, promotion, benefit status, disciplinary action, etc., the individual has ever had while serving. Access to a military installation is approved only after the cardholder info is confirmed. It's not a bar code, looks more like a Salvidor Dali painting, in all black, lol.
