Elon Musk’s Secret Conversations With Vladimir Putin. Regular contacts between world’s richest man and America’s chief antagonist raise security concerns; topics include geopolitics, business and personal matters. ...

Musk’s Years of Secret Talks With Putin Revealed [Oct 25, 2024]
.
"Elon Musk has been in regular contact with Vladimir Putin and his aides since late 2022, the Wall Street Journal reported.
.
"The billionaire has held secret conversations with the Russian president and other top officials—including one tasked with spreading Russian disinformation on Musk’s social media platform X—about business, geopolitics and personal matters, current and former officials from the U.S., Europe, and Russia told the Journal.
.
"The report is alarming on several fronts, as Musk has taken on an outsized role in former President Donald Trump’s campaign for re-election. He holds top-secret clearance as the head of SpaceX, which launches satellites that are vital to U.S. national security, and he owns X, a social media platform with 600 million active users. ..."
.
You can google and read many more articles about this. Musk may have been acting as an unregistered agent of a foreign government and may be investigated by the DoJ.  Musk has been controlling access to his StarLink satellites to DIMINISH Ukraine's access to GPS information and to INCREASE Russia's access to GPS information to hinder Ukraine's ability to battle Russia on their territory and enhance Russia's ability to hit targets in Ukraine. This might be an even worse violation of US law (a civilian acting against the official interests of the US government). Musk might have been sharing high-tech info with Russia that could be used both for peaceful but also non-peaceful purposes (against the USA).
.
"The [Wall Street] Journal reported, citing two people familiar with the topic, that during one of their conversations, Putin asked Musk to refrain from activating his Starlink satellite internet service over Taiwan, making the request on behalf of China's leader, Xi Jinping. ..."

And don't forget it's also Musk's StarLink that's key to the Ukrainians.
If Trump is re-elected, he and Musk will sell out Ukraine to Putin.

Are you suggesting that permits Musk to have a secret pipeline to Putin?

…to talk to Putin, because that’s against the rules that the left just made up. Never mind Musk runs a social media company that promotes free speech around the world that puts him in direct contact with world leaders globally. Never mind the left never once pissed and moaned about other captains of industry talking to Putin or leaders in China or North Korea or Cuba or anywhere else.

But isn't it reasonable to expect the executive of a company that provides top-secret services to our government to not have a secret back channel to a hostile government? Especially when said executive has more than a few screws loose?

The deep state monitors all foreign communication. Musk knows this, everyone knows this. If there was actually anything bad that Musk said, it would have already been leaked. It was all anodyne which is why the story is couched in vague undertones.
.
Also the deep state leaks this to the papers and then opens an "investigation" and wiretapping based on "reports in the  news."

It's called "news."  Were you expecting Musk to hold a news conference and announce, "Nobody knows about this yet, but I've spoken directly to Putin several times over the past 2 years. We spoke about World Cup Soccer, our favorite wines, and whether or not we thought Melania is fuckable or just an old, cold bitch. No, I will not tell you what Putin said about Melania."  Were you expecting investigative journalists to sit on their hands waiting for the stories to come to THEM?

Your "yet no proof" is more accurately written "no proof YET."  Regardless, the reports are not sufficiently detailed and they not claim to have PROOF, but THEY DO RAISE CONCERNS that might rise to the level of being investigated by LE.

having a pipeline to Russian leaders is not new.  Armand Hammer of Occidental Petroleum has a 65-year career doing deals with Russians spanning leaders from Lenin in the 1920's through Stalin, Khruschev to Brezhnev.   He became one of the early US billionaires.  Musk's net worth is more than the GDP of many countries, so why shouldn't he be considered a citizen of the world?
