Here's a link to a weblog written by an Iraqi national living in Baghdad. He also has several links to other Iraqi bloggers with varying perspectives. Alot of interesting reading (for those of us who don't read anything). The hardcore Bush-haters should avoid this site though, because it's outlook is somewhat optimistic about Iraq's future.

Frankly, nobody doubts that SOME Iraqis can be found to have an improved lot under the present regime than under the old.  The question is, what business of OURS was this, to justify the deaths of MANY HUNDREDS, and likely soon to be over 1000 Brave Americans, in order to improve the lot of SOME Iraqis.  AND, at the same time, to give Al Qaida a whole new chaotic nation to use as their training ground.  Perhaps Al Qaida should name their training facilities in Iraq after George W. Bush, as it was Bush who made these facilities in Iraq possible, and for as long as they exist, they are his legacy.  To paraphrase Colin Powell, Bush OWNS those Al Qaida cells in Iraq.  I hope he's proud of them.

It's more than just one Iraqi in favor. If you'd take time to follow the links to other Iraqi bloggers you'd find a wide range of viewpoints about the good, bad, and ugly aspects of what is actually happening over there. I presented the website as an unfiltered source of information from someone actually living there for people to explore and draw their own conclusions (you know, to READ stuff, sd). But maybe you're too closed-minded to bother.

As far as Al Qeada training camps, there are none. There are Al Queda operatives for sure, but they are too busy dying for "the cause" to set up training camps.

Al you know is that we aren't aware of any.  Surely, somebody is training the new Al Qaida recruits that are coming from the disaffected Iraqis.

And, BTW, it is actually immaterial to me whether most Iraqis are in favor of our presence, or not.  Because to the extent that there is support for us, it is FAR SOFTER than the depth of opposition to us, even if the supporters far outnumber those who oppose us (and that itself is highly questionable). The obvious FACT is, that whatever the views of the majority of Iraqis, those who SUPPORT US are clearly UNWILLING to take control of their own country and aggressively stamp out the minority who hate us so much that they are willing to die for that belief.  And as long as that is the case, this place will be George Bush's very own quagmire.  And one WE had no business getting involved with, in the obvious absense of any DIRECT, IMMINENT WMD threat to us.
