You are correct the guilty verdict stands. The financial penalty was thrown out as excessive. But I believe there can still be a financial penalty of some sort. Also, the court kept in place the ruling that he had committed fraud.

It is difficult to imagine that a new trial could proceed while one of the principal defendants ….is the President of the United States.” Thus they did not even bother with a stay- they said no further proceedings in the trial court at all. So Trump doesn’t have to pay a penny even though the lead opinion said the AG proved fraud?
