Trump's $916M loss carry forward was legal just as Hillary Clinton's $700K loss carry forward was legal. Trump has never been in a position to write or influence IRS laws. While Hillary had high power govt jobs she never tackled these issues and used the tax code to her advantage as well. Should Trump and Hillary pay more tax than the IRS requires because you say so? Hey Bud, not calling any names! I am neither a Democrat nor a Republican just saying things as they happen. Hillary released 33 years of her tax returns, it is there for everyone to see. Why not President elect release his? If he is doing everything legal and per IRS what is he trying to hide?
Well in a way this is good. Now no candidate for President in the future need to release their tax returns. Done. PS: The previous Republican candidate Mitt Romney did not want to release his 2009 tax returns. Why? He took tax amnesty, paid penalty and back taxes on money stashed in Swiss Bank Accounts. Obviously, not releasing tax returns was a purely political gamble, just like it would have a negative political certainty had Trump released them. It wouldn't have mattered what was there, his opponents would have created some sort of political hammer from them. Given the MSM there was very little political upside.

I didn't come up with one good reason because I told you there were obviously many good examples. Since you can't think of even one I'll help. Probably the best one is that his personal tax return might reveal his charitable contributions are embarrassingly low. Another might be that he utilized enough tax credits, deductions and exemptions such that his effective tax rate was embarrassingly low. There could be other, more convoluted issues but still embarrassing after the MSM "interpreted" them.
As for your last point, mistakes and disagreements are indeed handled privately, but I specifically referred to illegalities, not mistakes. Any illegality would have brought charges and these become part of the public record. And continued silence from you on your 20 year allegation.
