and you libs do have a point where it comes to the US "meddling" in the affairs of other nations. It is one of our many points of agreement, and one where the righties seem to wear blinders. I can't believe anyone can claim that the US has not engaged in regime change, spreading false information, supporting petty despots all over the world if their interests align with ours, the list goes on and on. Yes, I fully agree with the left on this topic.

Ok, that said. Does ANYONE really believe that we don't do EXACTLY what we are accusing the Russians of having done, and worse, where it comes to trying to influence elections in other countries???  Not only have we done this in the past, but I bet there are at least a dozen different countries where we are either trying to get "our candidate" elected, but where we are doing everything in our power to undermine the present government in those countries.

I am the only person LMAO at the hypocrisy?

If you were married, fucks the next door schlong..if you're bugged is that part of the hypocrisy??
And yes we have meddled in past elections or overthrows, Chile in 1973 come to mind as well as our involvement in Russia a few backs...So yes we get our just deserts...But when we actually condone or don't do anything when it happens to us, well that's a different story. It's like where's the fight?? Who's protecting us??

If you fuck hookers, yet get pissed that your wife is cheating too, YES that most definitely is hypocritical. Understandable, but still hypocritical.

I am certainly not advocating that we simply roll over and let Russia do to us what we do to everyone else. I am an American first and I do believe in "rooting for the home team" but this constant gnashing of teeth by the left as if Russia is doing something unheard of is a bit over the top, wouldn't you agree?

Some idiot lefty on TV the other day compared this to the attack on Pearl Harbor, even the rabid left wing host had to walk back that statement.

And though you're an American, I'm not seeing the patriotic side of you...but that's my perception.
You don't seem like a bad guy, just so wrapped up and blinded by trump.

The teeth gnashing has nothing to do with election meddling being unheard of.  Are you being disingenuous or are you really too stupid understand what the issue is?

...There ought to be no question that the U.S. government has tried to manipulate other countries governments similarly to the way the Russians have done to us, but the responcability for the result of these false information incursions belongs with US, the American voting public. In this worlds "information age" & world dominance attitudes of powerfull nations we should not be suprised that "information" would be weaponised in an effort to sway decisions made in our country in favor of what others want, & just because our government does it is no excuse for us to be victimized by that same trap.

He was constantly sending me Fake News hit pieces on Candidate  MAGA Trump.
I'd take the time to research and analyze his preposterous slanderous stories he found on Face Book, Twitter and other nonsense sites designed  for slow learning citizens.

Regardless of my counter points he was convinced candidate Trump would be disastrous for our economy if he became President.

I don't usually  say I told you so but I tell him every time we speak  how lucky we are his choice for Dynasty President, Jeb Bush, is now most famous for also ran, while MAGA President Trump is leading our country with success into the next Century.

I seriously doubt supporters of  War Monger HRC changed their vote to Trump because of negativity they read about her, when it's obvious the majority of her faithful followers have extreme difficulty comprehending facts
  outside their favorite  Fake News.

I couldn't help but  notice, ignorance  amongst  War Monger HRC supporters is stubbornly consistent.

Has CNN found any number of  HRC supporters who changed their vote to MAGA President Trump

I don't usually furnish  Fake News with ideas to mesmerize their audience but five previously HRC supporters who changed their vote to MAGA Trump would be an easy 'weak' of CNN News for dumbed down voters.  :-D

that in order to not appear hypocritical, we, our president nor our congress need not do anything to protect us from the Russians interfering in our elections. And, if there proof comes to light that their inference did effect our elections, that we must not invalidate the results. Did I get that right? ;)

Heaven forbid we appear hypocritical! ;)

I will chock this up to you PUI.  First, thanks for pointing out, once again, the epitome of obvious.  I'm not sure if you just figured this out but yes, powerful countries have tried to fuck with the politics of other countries, powerful or not, in their own self interest for at least the last 10,000 years or so.  Its also called basic human nature, but thats another subject for another day that you can discuss among your peers.

The difference, in fact that biggest difference, is that Russia did it to us, not some other country.  So here you are apologizing for Russia because, gee other countries do it too.  Maybe you're a Russian apologist just like Trump or maybe you've seen a few too many hookers that you are starting to think like them.  A few knocks on the door and your legs are spread for the likes of Putin and Trump.

Edited for spelling and grammar.  Admittedly I am PUI.

Years back when the Iranians took to the streets to protest the policies of Ahmahenijad (may mot have the correct spelling). Anyway Ann Coulter (who by the believes Jesus Christ died for her sins) really ripped into Obama for not providing support for the protesters.  The Iranian treaty will not get nixed because Boeing Negotiated a huge deal to sell passenger jets to modernize Iran’s commercial fleet. Do you really believe that Boeing is just going to sit by and let Trump let that contract go to some other competitor.  Also, seem to recall that Reagan had a private war going on to support the Sandinistas that was funded by Iran. In the words of
Laura Ingram do you believe you  should shut up and stick to drilling for oil and let the experts like her tell you what to think.

The US not only meddles, it kills.

Russia 1996: The secret story of how American advisers helped Yeltsin win.

Iran 1953: In August 2013, 60 years after, the American Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) admitted that it was in charge of both the planning and the execution of the coup, including the bribing of Iranian politicians, security and army high-ranking officials, as well as pro-coup propaganda.[18][19] The CIA is quoted acknowledging the coup was carried out "under CIA direction" and "as an act of U.S. foreign policy, conceived and approved at the highest levels of government".[20]

There are many other incidents.

Last year, Trump did mention that we are not so innocent ourselves and got roundly criticized for pointing fingers back at the empire.

All this uproar kind of pushes attention away from our own meddling, so we can falsely claim the moral high road.

It's a total hypocrisy.

What's good for the goose is good for the gander and now we don't like it.

Let's see if I have this correctly! So, we've done it to others so we have no right to defend ourselves from it happening to us, again! Do I have that correctly? ;)

We could save a lot of money by disbanding our defense department. Since we've invaded other countries we must not have the right to defend ourselves! ;)

You Trumpets will go to extraordinarily great length to defend Trump, and your allegiance to him vs. our country! So much so you lose all reasoning! ;)

He simply pointed out our hypocrisy, which is true. He never said we had no right to defend ourselves.

The snowflakes are running around comparing this to Pearl Harbor. Of course we have the right/obligation to defend ourselves, but to act like nothing like this has ever happened before, or that we don't routinely do the exact same thing to other countries, including Russia, is simply ridiculous.

It really is a sad commentary on the state of this board when you are most reasonable person on your side of the aisle. The "shrillness" of this board gives me a fucking headache sometimes. I guess that's why my post count here is about one fifth of what it once was. Talking to people who are literally screaming at their computer screens no longer is as fun as it once was.

But, bringing up the issue of hypocrisy in the context of Russian interference in our elections, along with the old saying: "What's good for the goose is good for the gander," I read it as a possible attempt to shut down discussion regarding what happened, and actions on how to combat it now, and in the future, unless, explicitly stated otherwise.

...Than simply it is...Americans need to start exmining the motivation surounding the information they act on, if not we will continue down the same path of being unduly influenced by bogus internet & twitter information.   WISE UP people take responsibility to investagate what you hear & read befor you make up your mind & vote on it.

You would all call him a traitor and then go buy out the gun shops because he is selling out America.
But donniedouchebag did it ...and guess what it's all good.  You trumptards are fucking unbelievable.
