Bush 'taken aback' by his people being a little nasty to Pakistan.

Good to know he's in complete charge of his people and keeps informed of their actions.

What I object to is not the fact that Bush's people did this, it was that Bush wasn't informed, nor did he find it unusual that he wasn't informed.

This is anything but a "unitary executive."

"Richard Armitage, then U.S. deputy secretary of state, is the official whom Musharraf identified in the CBS report. In an interview Friday with CNN, Armitage denied the allegation."

Armitage isn't one of Bush's people. He's known for often being an adversary of Bush's policies and is the same Jabroni that was passing gossip about Valerie "Deep Cover" Plame.

Not at all surprising that a guy like Armitage would say something stupid like that and it not get back to Bush.

BTW, where in that article is Bush quoted as saying he didn't find it unusual that he wasn't informed?

Along with his deep cover sabotage of Valerie Plame, he is also knee deep in the WMD controversy.  His name keeps popping up especially when it comes to pushing that bullshit back in front of Cheney even when the CIA said the reports of Saddam buying enriched uranium was utter crap.

He might be bent, but he's not a chicken-hawk.  When Saigon fell, he ended up rescuing 40,000 Vietnamese refugees, and after about 5 days of negotiation, he got the Phillipines to take them into port.

Armitage could honestly say that he rescued 40,000 people.

Of course he also thought Vietnam could be won.  Like the other neocons.

You mean your going to take Musharraf's word over the darling of the left's in the Plame case...the man who can do no wrong?

That is possible.  I said in my first post that I didn't really mind if it was true or false. After 9/11 invading Afghanistan was extremely justified.

My point was that Bush didn't know if it was true.  He wouldn't have lost any political points whether he admitted it or not, but he's simply "taken aback?"  It might have happened or it might not?  I don't know.

was that he DID know about it, but his words were a method of responding to the question without confirming nor denying his knowledge. I understand how that possibility would never cross your mind, considering how you think Bush is a boob.

that Bush was lying as usual did enter my mind as soon as I heard him. I'm glad that you are starting to see the light.

I do not think it's possible for both of us to see the same "light".

even agree with your own statements.

Armitage is a neocon.  Sorry, I don't believe for a second that he opposes Bush's policies.

Actually, I can be more specific.  He doesn't like Bush, but he works to further Cheney's policies.  In public he'll play the bad apple to fool the people who need to be fools. Now that he's "retired" he keeps useful conservative idiots useful.

Like being the cover story for the Valerie Plame scandal. That one has been swallowed whole.

Where did Bush say it?  When he says he was taken aback instead of "No, that never happened!" or "That son-of-a-bitch Armitage is lied to me!" or words to that effect. A reaction like "taken aback" says: I should check on that.

You could tell that Armitage is doing the administration's work by the fact that Chainy Dick & Gang haven't smeared him.  It seems to happen to everyone else who opposes the administration.  (Like Wilson in fact!)

thank you. Here's a cookie and some milk. Go have a rest before heading to Canada to flee the Cheney torture machine.

Are there any somewhat reasonable people in here to banter with?

Why don't you just continue to rest your aching head and read a nice, agreeable conservative blog, enjoying some nice warm milk and cookies while you brush up on your worn-out schoolyard insults.  They seem to be the only level of argument you understand.

The entire CIA hates Bush.   In my book-- Armitage committed-- SABOTAGE-- and that's-- TREASON!!!!!!  Therefore:  Armitage is a--- TRAITOR!!!!

Nobody could be as one-dimensional as you purport to be.

ya gotta communicate with people using their own language.   You're fine right up until you expect him to know what "purport" means.

And you might forget using dependent prepositional phrases.

you need to carry around with you and produce at demand when travelling internationally?

No, if Armitage committed sabotage, that makes him a saboteur [spelling?].

Traitors commit treason -- you must be confusing Armitage with Johathaa Jay Pollard. Now, that's a traitor.

nobody should have to say anything to realize that all the US has to do is take sides - or refuse to stand between - the Indians and Pakis, and the Pakis would be toast.

No bombing need to have been threatened.  I seriously doubt anybody said anything.   Because it didn't have to be said.   Anybody who was awake in October 2001 knew this was serious shit.

So when Moush said you'd have to buy his book, the last shred of his credibility went out the window, poor baby.
