Forwarded to me by a friend so i cant really say that this happened. But it's amusing enough that it should have.
I have a friend who is president of his homeowner's association in the Washington, D.C. suburbs. They were having a terrible problem with litter near some of his association's homes. The reason according to Wallace (my friend) is that six very large, luxurious new houses are being built right next to their community.
The trash was coming from the Mexican laborers working at the construction sites and included bags from McDonald's, Burger King and 7-11, plus coffee cups, napkins, cigarette butts, coke cans, empty bottles, etc. He went to see the site supervisor and even the general contractor, politely urging them to get their workers not to litter the neighborhood, to no avail. He called the city, county, and police and got no help there either. So here's what his community did They organized about twenty folks, named themselves The "Inner Neighborhood Services" group, and arranged to go out at lunch time and "police" the trash themselves. It is what they did while picking up the trash that is so hilarious. They bought navy blue baseball caps and had the initials "INS" embroidered in gold on the caps. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to understand what they hoped people might, mistakenly, think the letters really stand for.
After the Inner Neighborhood Services group's first lunchtime pickup detail, with all of them wearing their caps and some carrying cameras; 46 out of the total of 68 construction workers did not show up for work the next morning--and haven't come back yet. It has been ten days now. The General Contractor, I'm told, is madder than hell, but can't say anything publicly because he could be busted for hiring illegal aliens. Wallace and his bunch can't be accused of impersonating federal personnel, because they have the official name of the group recorded in their homeowner Association minutes along with a notation about the vote to approve formation of the new subcommittee--and besides, they informed the INS in advance of their plans and according to Wallace the INS said basically, "Have at it"!
SO FOLKS, I THINK YOU COULD SAY THAT YANKEE INGENUITY TRIUMPHS AGAIN!
Think they might have thrown in a few DEA caps as well?
What I heard is that in Virginai, the illegal aliens hang out on street corners and contractors have vans that they drive around to pick up illegals and take to work sites where they pay them 80 bucks a day cash. No ssi, no state tax, no fed tax or anything else is paid/collected. They just pay the Mexicans 10 bucks an hour cash.
That's cheating in so many ways!!!!
Plus, the school districts of Virginia are full of illegal alien rug-rats. And to make matters even worse, there's a bunch of them that are 19, 20, 21, 22, 23 years old going to the high schools!! They say they're 16 but they sure don't look it!!! It costs taxpayers about 8 grand a year per pupil!!
Those construction jobs should be had by US citizens.
I'm sorry, but we just have throw them out---of out country. period.
It can be done. We should just give them 60 days to liquidate their assets and then deport them. I personally think we should deport them to Spain and let those yellow bellied surrender monkey Spaniards deal with them. That would teach them a lesson too.

That practice, hanging around waiting for day labor, is very common in any part of the country where the illegals/undocumented gather. Happens every day in many of the towns in Long Island, NY.
Well-paying jobs, with benefits, be they in unionized or non-unionized industries, are an essential for a middle-class standard of living.
And we all know how everyone loves to extol the necessity of preseving the American middle class. Unless, of course, a bunch of uninvited, unregulated and unaccounted for foreigners might possibly be made to endure some slight inconvenience at the hands of the host country.
Pool cleaners, gardeners, cut-rate babysitters and slighly less expensive produce just doesn't mean that much to me, personally.
In spite of the fact that most Mexicans are good Catholics and hard workers. We can't have them here. They're taking good jobs away from US citizens. Jobs that are gateways to the middle class.
I honestly do not think that getting rid of them will raise the price of goods/services significantly but if it does-- it's still better than having uncontrolled borders and a country full of illegal aliens.
Mexico has to get their act together so their country can grow. If Mexico would just get rid of the corruption and the drug mafia, Mexico could become another economic miracle just like China and India.
The crap going on in Washington is pure lunacy. Legalizing 12 million illegals!!! There will be another 12 milion in 3 years.
The US has to secure the boarders. period.
Again--they are taking good jobs away from US citizens.
Bush should tell them to leave- now. We have to enforce the laws we have now.
Sodomite and GOP, you both make the same kind of bullshit statements that rightwingers are so good at. You make these statements that are simply not supported by the facts. However, the clever way you structure your sentences makes it seem as if the facts to support your claims are self-evident and commonly accepted as facts, when in reality, they are totally baseless. It amounts to sleight of hand logic. Perhaps you should read Al Gore's new book, "The Assualt on Reason."
You leftys are so hyped on control and regulation----EXCEPT WHEN IT COMES TO OUR BORDERS!
hehehe-HA HA HA---HO HO HO-- That was a good one!
This was sent to me by an errant buddy who likes nothing better than to bait me on my various political beliefs and disbeliefs.
For what it's worth, I AM NOT a fan of this type of thing -- numbers without context might impress the gullible, but they really in the end don't say too much at all [IMHO]. This tries very hard to give the impression of context, but it does not. In the end, every public policy question which involves gov't expenditure has to face some non-quantifiable aspect of this question : is it worth it?
Some argue that immigrants, legal and otherwise, make a much greater contribution to the public weal than whatever the cost is of providing govt services to them. I remain inconvinced, and there's a large non-dollars and cents component to this issue, many aspects of which we are painfully aware and which other contributors comment upon on in this very forum. [It never fails to strike me how the arguments for free trade seem resemble the arguments for high immigration levels -- whatever the internal cost of either policy, it more than pays for itself. I likewise here remain unconvinced, but I'll leave that to better minds to kick around and to figure out].
But in the interest of shedding heat, but probably no light, here goes. As Rod Serling used to say on "The Twilight Zone," "submitted for your consideration...." :
So often, we get caught up in a debate over political semantics and end up ignoring the hard-shell realities of what we're talking about.
According to ImmigrationCounters.Com, here are some of the realities that Flake-Gutierrez would airbrush out of the picture:
Number of Illegal Aliens in the Country
20,807,645
Money Wired to Mexico City since January, 2006

Figures can trick your eyes. Take particular note that items 2,3,5, and 7 reflect BILLION not millions of Dollars -- and that item 3 exceeds one-third of a TRILLION dollars.
Can you imagine how much it will cost taxpayers if we triple the number of Illegals entering this country!!
What's in a Billion?
Granted................. This is from the US!
The next time you hear a politician use the word "billion" in a casual manner, think about whether you want the "politicians" spending your tax money.
A billion is a difficult number to comprehend, but one advertising agency did a good job of putting that figure into some perspective in one of its releases.
A. A billion seconds ago it was 1959.
B. A billion minutes ago Jesus was alive.
C. A billion hours ago our ancestors were living in the Stone Age.
D. A billion days ago no-one walked on the earth on two feet.
E. A billion dollars ago was only 8 hours and 20 minutes, at the rate our government is spending it.
While this thought is still fresh in our brain, let's take a look at New Orleans . It's amazing what you can learn with some simple division . . .
Louisiana Senator, Mary Landrieu (D), is presently asking the Congress for $250 BILLION to rebuild New Orleans. Interesting number, what does it mean?
A. Well, if you are one of 484,674 residents of New Orleans (every man, woman, child), you each get $516,528.
B. Or, if you have one of the 188,251 homes in New Orleans , your home gets $1,329,787.
C. Or, if you are a family of four, your family gets $2,066,012.
Washington, D.C. ... HELLO!!! ... Are all your calculators broken??
This is too true to be very funny!
I appreciate your kind words, but with any number that has political relevance, you're got to ask : how was the number established? And, how accurate is it?
I find the exactness of some of these numbers to be amazing. For example, the number of illegal aliens in the US. How dis these folks derive such an exact figure? I don't think that they went out an took a census. And who's being counted? For example, does the figure include legitimate visitors who innocently but carelessly overstay their visas but do leave?
And what about the number of illegals incarcerated? What does that include? The inference that the authors of this number want you to draw is that these are ALL hard-core predicate felons doing hard time in state and federal maximum security prisons. How many, if any, of the number calculated include aliens being held pending deportation harings, for example? Folks, presumably, that we love very much to see in custody. Or sleeping it off in the drunk tank?
I have no great love for the undocumented, but neither do I buy every single bloody number simply because it's a number, and presumably has some statistical authority to buttress it. Or so we're asked to believe.
Once agains, figures don't lie, but liars do figure?
I, as do most of you, do not like having illegals in the US. But you all are looking at this the wrong way. If you have a large whole in a boat that is filling with water what must you do to keep from sinking? First you have to fix the whole. or as quick as you bale the water out it comes back in.
what can we do after the whole is fixed? start looking at our options as to how to handle the people. 11 million of them that would calculate into 10 million Legally born american children. How many of these children would you like us to send to you to take care of?? Because if you send there parents back there children become wards of the state that you will have to fund. that would cost you about $26,000 a year per child. thats only 286 billion dollars a year ( i think this covers most of your billions it cost american tax payers for them to be here). Thats chump change compared to the war in Iraq.
I am not saying that we should let these people stay no strings attached but my God why cant you people think. Your idea to load 275,000 buses that would stretch from Los Angeles to New York is crazy. It just will not work. And by the way how many of these illegals are trying to get your job or have a job that you want?? I dont see how you can say they are taking middle class jobs when I have never seen one that makes a middle class wage. We have become so dependant upon these humans that it will be very hard for us to go on without them. you take away 11 million people from the work force and you have single handed thrown this country into a depression so large that it may never get out. if you employeed every person that is on unemployement you would not cover half of these jobs.
I know I have probably pissed a few of you guys off and I am sorry but I just want people to think before that shit out of there mouth. I know sometimes I wish I would.
It's not that hard. I think a very high number of illegals would leave as soon as they realize we mean business.
Illegals are getting jobs in construction. Illegal aliens in LV are working in non-union construction companies and are getting 1K per week.
Elsewhere in the US, illegals are working in small roofing companies, general construction companies, lawn maintenance companies, etc. Thy're taking jobs away from US citizens.
F**k their snot-nosed rug-rats. If they leave them behind, fine the US will take care of them. It's worth the price for deterrence.
We've been trying to secure the borders for what, 400 years? And it's worked real well, hasn't it?
None of us ever thought about securing the boarders. I guess what you're talking about is locking your tenants up, presumably in the closet or something. It could work, but it would be a lot of trouble.
But it's really pretty simple, and the genius George W. has a much better plan that he's already set in motion.
All you have to do is wreck the economy, and all the Messicans will leave. Of course, you don't want to do it in a way that will close down the country clubs, because that would hurt the Bushes. Naw, what you want to do is create a Mexican style oligarchy, where the Bush's cronies control most of the money. This will leave everybody else scrambling for the last buck, and they'll kill Messicans for that last buck.
See how well it's working? Now isn't your President looking out for you? He's already got you wanting to kill some pathetic little brown asshole you've never met.
And it does wonders for your self-esteem, too, because as long as there are pathetic little brown assholes, there's always somebody for you to look down on, and you'll never wonder whether but for the grace of God you might be in those shoes.
There are 20,807,645.2 illegal aliens in the country, because one only has one leg across the border.

I had pretty much zero faith in any of those numbers [except maybe for the amount of $$$ wired to Mexico City], but thought that it might spark comment.
Well, it kinda did, puny and insubstantial as that comment was.
Better luck next time.
and every honest economist will tell you that they pull it all right out of their ass.
The idea that money is going to Mexico City is just as weak, because the question is, why not buy wherever you want? (Why are they saying just DF? Where else and when?)
So you have a neighbor that wants to sell you something you can get cheaper down the street. Do you owe him loyalty because of - well, why?
The idea of a closed economy is pretty much why the commies failed. I don't think imitating them is a good idea.
