That's based on population numbers alone.  China has almost 5 times our population.  By pure numbers, they could easily invade us, assuming they have the ships & planes to deliver that volume of militia to our shores.  China sided with North Korea during the Korean War, & we saw how that turned out.  We certainly didn't defeat them, & the population ratio back in the 1950's wasn't much different than now.
