Barack Obama's campaign has been "flattered" by Hamas terrorists. "Flattered."
Last week a top official of the militant Palestinian group endorsed Sen. Obama. Ahmed Yousef told a New York radio station that "we like Mr. Obama. We hope he will (win) the election and I do believe he is like John Kennedy, great man with great principle ... ."
Obama's chief strategist, David Axelrod, said he was "flattered" by the comparison to JFK, according to WorldNetDaily.
Would Mr. Axelrod be equally flattered if Hezbollah terrorists endorsed Obama and compared him to Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.?
Axelrod gushed just a few hours after Obama criticized former President Carter for meeting with leaders of Hamas. The Democrat senator tried to reassure Jewish voters at a Philadelphia synagogue that his presidential candidacy isn't a threat to them or U.S. support for Israel.
Obama said he feels a sense of "kinship" with the Jewish community, that he has been influenced in his life by Jewish writers, philosophers and friends. Perhaps his audience was flattered.
He added that "Hamas is a terrorist organization." He should mention that to his chief strategist.
The more that's disclosed about the people whose judgment Obama values, the more disturbing his own judgment seems to be.
It's not a flattering picture.
Yes indeed, the CHANGE WE ARE HOPING AND WAITING FOR.
