Obama Was Strong, concise, and Confident

I thought he made mccain look like an old shoe.  I was very impressed when he confronted him on all the lies mccain was hoping wouldn't be revealed.  Obama really had some good ideas.

I may just actually vote.  I wonder how effective the young folks will be.  I go to school and never in my life have I seen so many young people seriously involved. My school mailbox consists of an overflow of vids from michelle and other stuff regarding Obama, day in and day out I get about 8-12 per day.  I never open, I just get annoyed but I never ever got a school email regarding mccain.

In my opinion, that's a strong card if it works.  I certainly don't want another 4 years of bush... I mean mccain.

Mac won since he said my friends only once and did not call Barack Barry after he called him John :)
Barack did better then I thought and MAC should have done the first part on economy better but he really won on foreign policy.  The  next one might have a real big winner but not this one.
if you have to say winner MAC.

Obama is a nice person but he is a disciple of Saul Alinsky and one of his mentors is Bill Ayers.  Google those names.

Obama is from the corrupt Chicago machine and does things "The Chicago Way."

Wash DC spends 14K per year per student grades 1 thru 12 yet the DC students test scores are the worst in the country.  Throwing money at  socio/economic problems most of the time makes the problems worse.

McCain did not blow Obama out of the water the way Romney or Thompson would have.

Google Saul alinsky

Over all the debate was a tie I thought but if you had to give a clear winner Mac won with the punches that connected most on foreign policy .
I wish MAC would have talked more about the bailout and defined his position.

I expected there to be more discussion on the economy, despite the topic of the day.  Well done on both sides.

I was a little disappointed with McCain's reluctance to show respect for Obama.  The commentators say he did not look at him one time.  Not one time and the moderator had no success getting John to talk directly to Barack.

Obama called him John . MAC said SEN Obama . That could be lack of respect.

There are so many underlying truths to his proposals. He attacks Obama on how much money he wants to spend to help American families get back on their feet - mainly middle class, and yet McCain would take even more money to build the 45 nuclear power plants, and he says its to provide jobs to Americans. But who will take those jobs? It would be the middle class of course, and Obama would provide better health care for Americans, where those middle class Americans that McCain says he cares so much for and will provide the Nuclear Power Plant jobs... well those Americans certainly would have even WORSE health: increased cancer risks...
Obama is humble in his opinion of the war. He wishes we never started a war, and this would indeed be the opinion of most of the rest of the world! If America would gain back respect from all other countries, it must take a more humble approach to its opinion on the war we started. Obama will do all he can to end the war, as he feels it should have never started, where McCain's attitude is not humble, and in that, in his haughtiness, he would have America fight on, and OMG, how much more will our economy and soldier suffer! Indeed, this war must end, and what better attitude to stop it, then one who regrets it ever starting.
I agree that Obama sounds a bit arrogant, but this arrogant can also be the affect of a man who is in disbelief at the bolliks he is hearing. Sometimes when a person knows deep in their heart that something is right or wrong, they can get a sarcastic or bossy tone to the voice. I think he should be more careful on the tone of his voice, as to not sound arrogant or sarcastic.
I did watch this debate tonight, completely nuetral in opinion, and to be honest, neither condidate struck me as a leader. But if I am to choose, then it makes total sense to me, that Obama was the most honest and not sneaky. When he said his plans, I didnt see any underlying menace in them. McCain's proposals, however, can and will, if they dont go "Just as HE wants" have a chain reaction of major catastrophes.
Another thought: Obama would be the first African American president, and this is a huge pressure on him to make the people happy with their choice. He is a role model for African-Americans, and will closely listen to their thoughts on all his actions. He will listen to the American people. And I believe he will listen to also the opinons of the rest of the world. It appears that he seeks approval. He is desparate to not lose his integrity and yearns for the people's respect and approval. He will, in my opinon, do all he can to not fuck up or hurt us. McCain, wants to do everything HIS way - just like Bush did. I dont believe he really cares what we think about what he plans on doing. I personally am tired of having a president who doesnt care what we think or how we feel about his actions. We little people, who really listens to us? Obama will listen. He wants to please us.

billion bailout and how that bill if passed would affect his spending priorities. When directly asked those questions by Moderator Jim Lehrer he did not answer.

Neither of them knew the current iteration of the plan well.  I'm sure that's because the plan has changed every hour.

may change and he then stated his main objectives in regards to the budget. He said: Defending our Nation and the taking care of our veterans will be the only exceptions to a possible spending freeze.

He was more forthcoming than Obama who provided a vague answer and blamed Bush. If he did please tell me what are his spending priorities. How will he pay for Health care and his other objectives and still pay for the $700m Billion bailout?

McCain said they would change.  He didn't say how.  If I am wrong, please give me some examples.

have to be frozen and he did make exceptions. Now did he explain in detail how that would affect Medicare etc. of course not? Obama on the other hand did not mention what his spending priorities are?

Yet two days ago Obama said it was important to have this debate to find out what are the plans for leading this nation out of our financial crisis. Yet Obama all he could say your "right John" when McCain stated clearly we must go after corruption as manifested in earmarks and spending runamok.  Obama did speak about the middle class having a "fair shake". What the hell does that mean?

He makes it all sound so sweet, like describing a delicious cake he will one day bake for us, if we let him in the kitchen. He wont go into details, acting a secretive chef, but if he is president, we will see his secrets unfolding as he goes along. "Surprise, taste this!" he'll say, "Um ok, it's ok" we'll say. "Surprise again! Taste this!" he'll say, "Um shit ok, i guess its ok" we'll say...
Why do we keep on trusting the candy-coated yummies without demanding an ingredient list? America has a right to analize ingredient lists, and decide accordingly, as "we the people" were promised we could do... now-a-days, there are too many preservatives and additives in our president's favorite foods.

No wonder he cannot connect with average voter. When asked about the Wall Street Crisis, he talked about "Stake Holders". Felt like I was sitting in a business class. Precise and concise, far from it. He talked around every question for two minutes and never answered a single question directly.

Typical college professor teaching law.

(2) Tax Business out of the country and put everyone on welfare with health care

(3) Energy independence in 10 years (hold your breadth)

(4) Free college for everyone

(5) Tax the rich to pay for it all

Any questions?

lol yet he says it because he knows thats what we want to hear.  Who ever it is that gets in better know he's gonna have to make good because when you take someone's world away by the millions, there's consequences to deal with after.

He who pulls the string, Must be ready to hear the bell!

It's gonna be a huge problem next year in the US along with no great spike in the economy.  At least I can say I didn't vote for Mccain the liar.

I think it's such a joke that he sits up there on top of his mounds of money and people think he's thinking only of them...   lol  Are they deluted or what?  He married her for her money anyway for craps sakes! (still keeps his old habits too.. now isn't that odd lol NOT)
