Left has its scare tactics too.

It's not a "scare tactic used by the church." If one believes in God, and s/he believes the the Bible is God's Word, the church is just reminding him ore her what he has said. Now, everyone, in this country, has a choice as to whether to believe in God, and whether to believe that the Bible is His Word.  

Sure it helps, especially when people don't look alike, and are separated by class.

In an isolated system, you can show that CO2 has a warming effect. However, extrapolating that to the earth is a different question. Kind of like extrapolating micro evolution to macro evolution.

on human civilization is indeed speculative and relies on creating fear to sell the argument.
It is also a one-sided equation, as those who promote the cause with Chicken Little hysteria and want drastic measures taken quite frankly could not care less about the very real, measurable, immediate real-world economic impacts of the draconian policies they want to see put in place.  Honest analysis would at least instead acknowledge we don't really know what exactly the impact will be, rather than selling the most dire of predictions as fact to maximize fear.
