North Korea Problem

North Korea tested an intercontinental ballistic missile that experts say could reach major US cities as far as Chicago and possibly New York. Their leader, Kim Jong Un, bragged that they now have the missile capability to reach any major city in the US, possibly with a nuclear warhead.

What should the US do to stop this growing menace. Nothing? More sanctions? Military action? Rely on China to help? Regime change?

Hate to remind you, but Obama is no longer president.  The question is "what will Trump do?"  Tillerson is espousing an approach that has not worked for the last 5 presidents of BOTH parties.

Clearly, this is not a simple problem and it will take more than a simple, one-dimensional solution to eliminate this threat.  Being a madman is Kim Jong Un's most dangerous attribute.  Nuking North Korea and allowing millions of people in Japan and South Korea to be murdered in turn, is the price the U.S. must consider paying for a strong military response.

Eventually Trump will listen to his advisers and realize, we can not depend on China.  They are the sole support for North Korea but are satisfied to prop up Kim's government.  The alternative is a stronger, more expansive South Korea and U.S. troops closer to China's border.  Hence the complex situation Trump faces in whatever he decides.

Yes, Tillerson is justifiably kicking the can down the road like many before him. Military action is a difficult decision. I think Trump is right in stating that China may be the solution to the North Korean problem. Hopefully they will act before we feel threatened.

Americans, will tolerate BS for so long before we act. We have the BEST military in the world and definitely not afraid to use it.  Liberals and conservatives alike support our troops. It would not take long for use to unite if we really feel threatened. I have pity for any country who "really" makes us feel threatened. Considering the consequences they WILL endure.
