I'm confident in my claim. But I've already made one bet on this board with a democrat and have yet to hear from him. So, I'm not sure you guys are good for honoring bets or admitting errors,  like the feverish claims a few months back about the Sunnis and Shias joining together to destroy the Americans and send Iraq tumbling into a quagmire.

Propose your terms, then we'll try to figure a way to get accurate vote tallys.

Propose terms!  It's not that complicated.  The topic was the military vote in the upcoming election, and your statement was that it would go at least 80% for Bush.

Loser has to publicly acknowlege on this board that he lost.

Well that's a boring assed bet. But if that's all you're looking for then sure. The problem is getting an accurate measure of the vote counts.

How is that backpedalling? I made a clear statement about what I believe the military vote breakdown will be. It's posted in writing on this board for everyone to see. If I'm wrong it'll be pretty damned obvious. And I'll admit it, though I don't think I'll have to.

Do you think I'm backpedalling because I said that TILII's bet was boring? It is boring. He could have been more creative by asking me to proclaim to all on the board that he's the all-knowing master of the universe, or requiring the loser of the bet to spend an entire 24/7 week listening to Air Amerika.

Which is true, of course, but you're hedging the bet, which leads one to believe that you will use that as an excuse when you are proven wrong by whatever data eventually shows that 80% of the military did not vote for Bush. Get it?

I'm not hedging. I'm being straight forward. I've searched all over to find past records of military voting counts and haven't been able to find anything. To my knowledge the DoD doesn't conduct any type of survey or record keeping on military votes other than the total percent of personnel who have voted, not who they voted for.
