This is the most ignorant thing I’ve read in months.  All of those companies make their products in Asia and actively rely on Asian sales to fatten their profit margins.  In fact they wouldn’t even have profit margins if it weren’t for Asian manufacturing and sales.  Asia is driving the world economy and has been doing so for two decades.  How can you not know that?

...Willy & GaG globalism certainly has been under attack especially over the past year but my partial disagreement is with the reasoning, that has caused this prejudicial behavior to raise it's ugly head, Tribalism (the idea that cooperating with others that are different from us will cause us harm, or the only ones we can trust are people just like us). Working with others around the world can bring us all closer together & improve productivity, create better products, & working conditions just by close communication & maintaining our agreements with others that may be different from us. Tribalism is a behavior as old as mankind & is responsible for most of the strife this world has seen throughout the centuries, I believe if we were better at listening instead of just talking globalism just mite look a little better.

Capitalism is better than communism because it gives the idea that  with hard work,education  and good decision making, you can achieve the  so called 'american dream'.But it also grossly benefits the wealthy while communism benifits everyone but with great limitation on ones ability- so a balance is yet to be found .
Fast forward - you think the people (including Trump whose shirts and ties that are sold at Macys) continue to offshore  jobs under the glorified name of  globalization (the new name for greed) really cares about you.

...WOW the posts on this thread are all over the map, my post had nothing to do in support of capitalism or communism only basic economic cooperation with trading partners around the world, economic warfare costs everyone's purchasing power & raises costs while narrowing product selections. Simple agreements with our global trade partners are the best we can do to keep all of us around the world maintaining a common understanding & I believe the reason for removing these agreements is typical fear based tribalism.

When I say "Communism benefits everyone" am referring to the ECONOMIC SYSTEM as I learned it ,and how it suppose to work  -  that people are pretty much on the same economic level.Did not mention murder nor did I say it was good.So read with understanding and honesty.Don't distort.

If you take a few courses in economics  or even do some research ,you will learn that some mergers had to be blocked (by good governance) because they were too  exploitative in nature to competitors , consumers , and the economy in general.
