"True facts"? As opposed to Democrat slanders.
And BTW, it's "Nobel," and "precedence."
Granted, it is a liberal site, but they do include the sources.
It would be silly of any adminitration not to change course if they try something and it does not work...
Yes, the administration has made some policy changes, but Kerry has more positions than the Kama Sutra...
In addition, Bush has laid out his plan, all I hear from Kerry is platitudes (I would get UN approval, I wouldn't go it alone, blah, blah, blah). When is he going to step up to the plate and lay out his plan??
That's why he is unfit to be President of the United States. Because he is an inflexible, unquestioning ideologue, who believes in his actions with moral certitude. Even when thousands of people die, hundreds of billions of dollars get squandered, and we end up doing exactly the OPPOSITE of what we intended, and actually strengthen Iraq as a recruiting ground for Al Qaida.
Right in mine.
What you call inflexible I call standing by conviction. This is almost a replay of the "evil empire" speech by Reagen. The left went wacko, calling Reagan irresponsible and saying he was going to start WW III. In the end, he toppled communism and won the day.
It's a shame people can't learn from history!!
Nailed by Pat Oliphant, political cartoonist.
1. OPEC --- You Lefties are going to attack him no matter what he does. But this is inaccurate, aside from being one report from one paper. The Administration has lobbied OPEC to increase its production. [Which it voted to do today --- 6/3/04.]
2. Iraq Funding --- Nice Misrepresentation. The title says "BUSH SPOKESMAN DENIES NEED FOR ADDITIONAL FUNDS FOR THE REST OF 2004," while containing the quote that "We don't anticipate requesting anything additional for [Iraq for] the balance of THIS YEAR" (emphasis added), and it's dated July, 2003, and then claims contradition in a quotation about "ADDITIONAL FUNDS FOR IRAQ FOR 2004, in a quotation dated nearly ten months later.
Where's the contradiction?
3. Condeleeza Rice Testimony --- Let's see if I understand this. President asserts executive privilege, and gets beat up. Alters position, and gets beat up for "flip flop." All for asserting a privilege that the far Left jealously guarded when invoked by Clintonistas to protect Slick Willie's prevarications, not policymaking. That's rich.
4. Science --- A far left lobbying organization (like most groups with the word "concerned" in their title) trashes the Bush Administration. Color me surprised.
5. Ahmed Chalabi --- Yeah, it would have been much better for the Administration to stick by him no matter how corrupt he is proven to be. Kinda like Clinton.
6. Department of Homeland Security --- Yeah, God forbid the President should oppose a flawed bill until it's fixed.
7. WMDs --- Titles don't match the content.
8. Free Trade --- See general comment, below.
9-20. Etc. All these prove is that the far Left is out for one thing: power. It really doesn't matter what Bush does. If he resists far Left pressure, he's trashed for resisting. If he caves, he resists for flip-flopping. You can't have it both ways.

Yo- JimboIQ-
Relax- This is just a list to show that both these Guys are POLITICIANS. And politicians change positions. Your moron has done it about as much as our guy. Nothing more.
Hard to slander a guy who HAS NO REPUTATION to soil. Most of us already have figured out he's the kind of scum scum wipes off its shoes.
this is the old "retreat" vs. "shortening our lines of communication" story- purest spin. I think the Dems just want to point out that "flip flopper" is not a valid attack on Kerry- cuz Dumya has done it too. alot. Maybe even more than Kerry.
I think you guys really need to think about putting the button in the hands of a man who believes that the universe was created in 144 hours! That Global Warming is a canard. That Saddam was involved in planning the 9/11 attacks. That the french ought to have a word for entrepreneur. That Jews and Muslims and even Catholics, and certainly everyone on this board is going to hell. That rich people should get richer and the poor should go away. That faith can solve all problems. That trading Sammy Sosa was his only mistake. That the best government contracts should go to his friends. That abortion is an evil on par with genocide. That women should go back into the home and kitchen and leave the workplace. That Gay Marriage will destroy the family. And that the constitution is only for people who obey the law.
Wow- when I look at that partial list- its easy to ask how an ostensibly coherent guy like you can fall for a piece of shit like that?
I'm willing to bet that you spend more time planning your next hobby experience than you do reading books or the paper- cuz if you did- you'd see what a goofball you seem to those of us who actually think about this stuff.
But hey- you make over 250K a year, so this admin might work for you. But don't be suprised that a lot of people see the last 3 years as an umitigated disaster and want to get rid of the man who took us there. And when you factor in that HE HAD NO MANDATE to do it? It is galling when the loser of the popular vote can drive the country into a roadside ditch on hisd watch and then try to stand by the car and act like he won the Indy 500!
"Relax- This is just a list to show that both these Guys are POLITICIANS. And politicians change positions."
Good start. Can't disagree with that.
"Your moron has done it about as much as our guy. Nothing more."
There goes that slander again. "Moron"? I wouldn't call GWB a great intellect, but look where so-called "smart guys" (Jimmy Carter; Slick Willie) have gotten us in foreign policy.
"Hard to slander a guy who HAS NO REPUTATION to soil. Most of us already have figured out he's the kind of scum scum wipes off its shoes."
More slander. And, to strip away all pretensions, bold talk from a whoremonger.
"I think the Dems just want to point out that "flip flopper" is not a valid attack on Kerry- cuz Dumya has done it too. alot. Maybe even more than Kerry."
Valid political tactic. But untrue, and based on a number of inaccuracies detailed in my post.
"I think you guys really need to think about putting the button in the hands of a man who believes that the universe was created in 144 hours!"
I don't know that that assertion is true. Most Christians (including myself), view the Genesis story as an allegory, and accept the theory of evolution as guided by God's divine Hand.
"That Global Warming is a canard."
It certainly is, and that it has been so enthusiastically embraced by the far Left simply demonstrates their arrogance and narcissism. Were it that we had so much power over such fundamental forces.
"That Saddam was involved in planning the 9/11 attacks."
The Administration does not advance that position, but evidence is piling up on the Iraqi regime's connections to al Qaeda. It's reported, but many in the liberal media persist in downplaying/ ignoring the evidence.
"That the french ought to have a word for entrepreneur."
The French know to capitalize their own denomination. And why is it you Lefties focus on GOP malapropisms, and ignore your own?
"That Jews and Muslims and even Catholics, and certainly everyone on this board is going to hell."
Again, warm up to the "shift" button. It's "Hell." And that you consistently belittle religious faith and those who hold consistent beliefs speaks to your lack thereof more than anything.
"That rich people should get richer and the poor should go away."
No, that we all should become richer. And that's what happens when government (excuse me, in your construction, "Government") gets the hell out of the way.
"That faith can solve all problems."
Again, hyperbole in the service of slander. But thousands of years of history demonstrate that it solves more problems than it creates.
"That trading Sammy Sosa was his only mistake."
Get a sense of humor.
"That the best government contracts should go to his friends."
Yeah, like that never happens in a Democrat Administration (ask Webb Hubbell, or labor unions blessed with "project labor agreements," Davis-Bacon laws, etc.). Besides, this is another misrepresentation.
"That abortion is an evil on par with genocide."
It is.
"That women should go back into the home and kitchen and leave the workplace."
Another misrepresentation. Women should have the choice to stay home and raise children. It is an ever-growing government (excuse me, "Government") leviathan demanding an increased percentage of family income that forces many into the workplace.
"That Gay Marriage will destroy the family."
No, it simply is an effort to pervert it.
"And that the constitution is only for people who obey the law."
Another slander. This Administration hasn't even come close to as many constitutional violations as the previous one, and couldn't with two eight-year runs.
"you'd see what a goofball you seem to those of us who actually think about this stuff."
More personal slanders, this time against yours truly. It speaks volumes about the merits of your argument that you have to resort to this.
"you make over 250K a year"
Ahhhh, were it that it were so. Only about 40% of that.
"this admin might work for you."
Actually, it works better than the last for everyone who pays income taxes.
"a lot of people see the last 3 years as an umitigated disaster and want to get rid of the man who took us there."
No doubt that they do. More's to pity. It takes a lot to clean up after eight years of ineffectual action against global terrorism.
"HE HAD NO MANDATE to do it?"
He has 100% of the White House. And more votes than Clinton got in either election. That never stopped him. Remember the sticker Ollie North's organization put out? "Hey Bill! 43% Is No Mandate!"
"It is galling when the loser of the popular vote can drive the country into a roadside ditch on hisd watch and then try to stand by the car and act like he won the Indy 500!"
The economy's humming along quite nicely, if you'd read a few papers, or look at a few statistics (one from this morning: jobless claims down 6,000 last week) not reported by a media which wants to elect the Poodle. 'Fact is, though, I tend to believe that government (excuse me, "Government") has less power to fix the economy than to screw it up.
You're a piece of work - a Christian 'whoremonger'. I feel safe applying your own standards here - I can certainly understand your support of Bush. You are two of a kind.
you'd know that a fundamental tenet of Christianity is that we are all sinners; that's why we need the Savior. I simply admit it.... and point out the inconsistency of a whoremonger with pretensions to "morality."

and I'm stunned how many Noble Prize winners are so liberal leaning. I guess the motto of true scientists is feelings and bias take precedent over Facts. NOT!
talking to a reporter and proposing legislation in Congress are 2 entirely different animals. I know Bush thinks false lies and true facts are the same! Or else, why does he keep playing the ad with the Kerry gas tax accusation?
"True facts"? As opposed to Democrat slanders.
And BTW, it's "Nobel," and "precedence."
lesson. That's the best you can come up with?
