Transparent manipulation

If I am spending six digits, the offer of sex is not that great an incentive as I as owner of the company am spending my own money, and you can buy a lot of pussy with a few hundred thousand. lol

One of the beauties of the hobby, it basically inures you to the charms of ultrabeautiful women. I have fucked enough "tens" in my life to not take leave of  my senses.

OTOH  if given a choice of buying something that will involve recurring revenue for the salespeson, IOW anything that I will be buying on a recurring basis, all other things being equal I might opt for starting a business relationship with the company that sends the hottie out each time as opposed to the old guy with whom I have nothing in common.

All sales is manipulation, or at least attempted manipulation. The only time this strategy might backfire with me is if my intelligence is insulted, ie the manipulation is flatly denied. I don't appreciate being treated as stupid, and  my check book automatically closes the moment some one attempts to decieve me.

Unfortunately for me, in my business I am rarely approached by super model type sales people.

Mark Hurd of HP got fired? He didn't get fired for the reasons you thought he got fired for.

I've intentionally hired drop-dead gorgeous woman who are also extremely intelligent, and a flawless work ethic. It's a great combination when it works.

You're right though, if they are just there to look good, it doesn't work. C-suite execs see right through it. At then end of the day, improving revenues, profit, while reducing costs tends to win out. It might be OK for the 1st meeting, but after that, they want value.

...she will throw in a free bang after closing a sale.

I wouldn't buy a house I wasn't otherwise going to buy just because some hot realtor was going to bang me afterwards, but I might let it influence me into picking her as my realtor in the first place. After all, fucking the real estate agent beats the hell out of "being fucked" by one.

In some of my capacities I buy things for which salespeople will earn some pretty hefty commissions in the 5-figure range on an ongoing/annual basis.

One thing I have noticed is a trend to send drop-dead gorgeous women along on sales calls. I don't mean just pretty or beautiful -- I mean seriously heart-stopping like your jaw hits the floor if you aren't expecting it.

Certainly, I understand why companies would do this. It's a scientifically proven fact that men literally take leave of their senses around hyper-beautiful women. It's obviously easier to sell something to a guy who can't think.

But on the flip side, because I am aware of what they are doing and why; I don't let them off the hook just because they are pretty women. If anything, I negotiate tougher. In other words, with me anyway, the plan backfires.

I remember one such super-model sales lady who said to me: "I'm not here to manipulate you or anything," to which I responded "Yes you are. You are a saleswoman. Your intention is to cause me to buy something I wouldn't ordinarily buy or pay more than I ordinarily would."

So -- for those of my friends who confront the super-model or hyper-beautiful sales ladies -- does the transparent manipulation backfire? Or does it work?

Next time they send a super beautiful babe as part of the sales team, tell her that you do not have the final decision in the matter and she has to speak to your supervisor, dncphil.
