None of us on the left are envious of you "boinking" Linn Thomas.
Your editorial "George of the Bungle", printed in the LA Times on Sept. 9, 2005, and televised on your HBO series, was inspired. This op/ed piece moves you into the top echelon of American satirists, such as Samuel Clemens and Will Rodgers.
If Linn is now charging you, your friends on the left would be happy to take up a collection.
Hell, we know the left stood up for Bill Clinton when he was accused of sexual assult/rape. Why would we be suprised that the left now defends Bill Maher for the small offense of beating a woman...
sorry guys, but as one of the "evil rich", I can afford to pay for my membership and not try to earn it by reviews.
Don't misunderstand, I have no problem with reviewers, and actually appreciate it, but if someone does not want to write a review, that is their own business as well.
it's the failure to use common sense and blindly follow stupid court rulings and ill advised government mandates, the traits you are displaying now, that have led to many of the problems we now face.
In Kansas City, it was delayed a couple of hours from its "scheduled" broadcast time on ABC because our ABC affiliate aired sitcom reruns right after the news, delaying both it and "Nightline". Because of its late airing time here (after midnight), I didn't get to see it as often as I would've liked.
I concur with your comment. He was fair in having opposing viewpoints battle each other (and himself) across the set. You could tell that he leaned to the left, both in his monologues and as show moderator. I haven't seen his HBO show yet, but I'm sure its slant is basically the same.
