convicted of contempt for defying a Congressional subpoena. What a dummy. He didn't even need to really "testify." All he had to do was go and plead the Fifth as others have done. Now he and Bannon can be cell mates. Any butt-fuck each other.

People are getting convicted right and left for involvement in Jan.6th with sentences from 5-20 years.  The most he can get  for failure to appear is one year.  I'd say he dodged a bullet.

Navarro's situation has ZERO connection with those long sentences. He was NOT accused of any Jan. 6 crime. He simply refused to comply with a Congressional subpoena to testify.  All he had to do was show up, plead the Fifth and go home. Like so many others did.
He's a dummy. But at least he's not alone. You don't get it either.

it's very nature, implies guilt.  Defying the subpoena does not.

Trump invoked the Fifth Amendment FOUR HUNDRED FORTY times in a deposition taken by NY Attorney General Letitia James.  If pleading the Fifth ONCE implies guilt, what does invoking the Fifth FOUR HUNDRED FORTY times mean?

Michael Flynn invoked the Fifth Amendment 146 times and John Eastman pleaded the Fifth over 100 times.  Does that mean they're guilty?

What is your authority for stating: "Pleading the fifth, by it's very nature, implies guilt."
Are you relying on that great legal scholar Donald J. (for Jurisprudence) Trump who said:
"You see the mob takes the Fifth.  If you’re innocent, why are you taking the Fifth Amendment?”"
Trump also said: "Fifth Amendment. Fifth Amendment. Fifth Amendment. Horrible."

He's now a convicted criminal. So even if pleading the Fifth only "implies" guilt (which, as BPS pointed out, it does not) he's still guilty. So now he'll go to jail instead of walking free.
Brilliant.

the defense theory was not considered by the jury, the verdict can be vacated and new trial ordered, perhaps in someplace like Nebraska where people take statutory privileges a little more seriously.  How many jurors in Washington DC do you think actually finished high school?

The Justice Dept is as illegitimate as Hunter Biden’s crack head stripper baby. They’re circus clowns with prison bars.

But I did like the line "as illegitimate as Hunter Biden's crack head stripper baby."
At least Willy is good for an occasional laugh. Which puts him one up on swallow meat.
