It's pretty ironic too. 4 years ago, Obama ran on a platform of Hope and Change. But everyone knew what they meant by Hope. They meant Hope for a better future. A way out of the mess the GOP left, cratering the economy and putting it into free fall.

Now the Republican mantra is "Hope". But not Hope for a better tomorrow, but a Hope that they win tomorrow's election.

The bad news for them is that hope is about the only thing they have. Because there is no way Romney can win without Ohio, Virginia, and Florida. Obama can lose all three and still win the election. If Romney loses even one of those states, he loses the election.

The worse news for Republicans? Obama is ahead in two of those states, and is tied in the other one.

I'm just letting you know now, Republicans. It's over. Romney is toast. The only ones who don't know this seems to be Romney's supporters.

especially since you can't get two tenths of any electoral vote.

But I still think that Obama will get 303. I don't think Obama will win Florida, but I think Florida is going to be razor thin. Colorado probably will be too.

On MSNBC's "Morning Joe" today, Joe Scarborough took a more direct shot, effectively calling Silver an ideologue and "a joke." :D

"Nate Silver says this is a 73.6 percent chance that the president is going to win? Nobody in that campaign thinks they have a 73 percent chance — they think they have a 50.1 percent chance of winning. And you talk to the Romney people, it's the same thing," Scarborough said. "Both sides understand that it is close, and it could go either way. And anybody that thinks that this race is anything but a tossup right now is such an ideologue, they should be kept away from typewriters, computers, laptops and microphones for the next 10 days, because they're jokes."

Joe would really think that more since Natie now says 86 percent chance Obama wins.:D

Nixon got 520 in '72. Roosevelt got 523 in '36.

The race has gotten closer to 50/50 over the last 25 years.

he's betting on Obama!  ;)

P.S. We will never know if Nate is right about the percentages if Obama wins. Just that he was wrong of Obama loses! ;)

More than 300? All this talk of 300 plus votes sounds sounds crazy.

I find it hard to believe any candidate has ever broken 290. Too lazy to google.
