In a sense, you’re right that Biden’s hands are tied. But aside from a making a statement, there’s really not much the US can do there anyway. Some indications that the Burmese military got the green light from the ChiComms, so that’s the more big picture policy issue that the Biden administration will have to deal with going forward.

and I’m looking at it as half full.  Our president has called for unity, healing and looking forward.  While you and I might disagree on issues like election reform and the size of the upcoming COVID-19 relief package, I think we can all agree that  what’s going down in Myanmar is terrible and that a relook at international sanctions, as Biden has called for, is in order.
