Groundhog Day 2011

This coming year, both Groundhog Day and the State of the Union address occur on the same day .

It's an ironic juxtaposition of events; one event involves a meaningless ritual in which we look to a creature of limited intelligence for prognostication...while the other involves a groundhog.

I was gonna do a GWB bit as a retort, but why bother ? Either my option & certainly the OP's would come out as lame & unfunny ridicule threads.

If someone wants to legitimately criticize BHO or GWB, fine------but posts like these are fucking pointless.

You have absolutely no room to talk after all your lame attempts at humor, especially in re to the Tea Party.

Welcome back, now please go back on hiatus until you regain some semblance of objectivity.

I was gonna aim a STFU at you, GaG, but, maybe we
both getting "overly sensitive" in our dotage.

As  P & R's most "objective poster", this board needs me too much to go on another hiatus-----;)

And a Happy New Years to you, bud.----:)

and I think you would be more accurate saying "months of Tea Party posts", not "months old" posts, plus the only reason you ever stopped calling them the "teabaggers" was a weak attempt to claim objectivity.

I have never heard a peep out of you over the countless "cheap shots" that were leveled at GWB, now all of a sudden the POTUS is supposed to be "off limits" because he is a Dem. BULLSHIT!!!

Btw, I've done COUNTLESS posts critical of BHO. Have a couple straight shots, calm down &  get loaded archiving my brilliant posts------:)

& I'm NOT a Dem but an independent, remember ?

Salud !--------;)

gambler wasn't talking about you posting respectful criticisms of President Obama.
I often wonder, when you twist the truth thrown in your face, do you actually believe yourself?
If there are any  fools other than you, that even think you "might" be a independent, will they raise their hands in solidarity?
Have a nice night.

that you are smarter, worldly and know issues and have solution for everything. The only thing, the solution has to be your way.

Whether you like someone or not, calling someone worse than a pig shows the limits of your intelligence.

What a stupid post.

Not sure what upsets Democrats.  Being the creature of limited intelligence or interrupting their hibernation.  And then I thought, "Why choose?"

Speaking of your self awarded title as P&R  "most objective" poster, has anyone ever accused you of being a right winger?

I have been accused alternatingly of being both a rabid right winger, and a soft hearted/headed lefty. My point is that unless people can see you as either a lefty or a righty depending on the topic and/or their own perspective, you can't really claim that you are really "that" objective.

Unless you have some unknown revelation that you have been waiting to spring on us, you are not really an independent, just a Dem in independent clothing.

If you would like to show just how independent and non partisan you truly are, name one Republican that you have ever voted for. I'll go first, I voted for GHWB in 92, Bill Clinton in 96, GWM in both 2000 and 2004, McCain in 2008 and have even admitted that if Obama shifts dramatically towards center, and the GOP continues it's shift even further to the right, I "might" even entertain voting for Obama in 2012.

That's my pitch for being independent and objective, let's hear your's.

I voted for McCain in 2000 Ca. POTUS primary; in most recent election, I voted for the GOP congressional candidate ( who won, btw ). I WILL admit that I voted for Harry Reid, however, for the rest of the candidates, Libertarian all the way.

The money question.. Look in the mirror and ask yourself. Did you vote for McCain in the primary as your vote against Bush. IMO not a lot of difference between Bush and McCain.
I wager you voted for McCain in the primary and Gore when it counted.
I can see through your illusions.

or even a district, and Quad is absolutely correct is his assessment of your vote in a primary, it means absolutely nothing if you voted for the most liberal Republican on the ticket against other Republicans. Now if you had voted for a liberal or moderate Rep against a Dem, now that would actually have some meaning, but your "examples" prove nothing. Actually they indicate that I was correct in my assessment of your "objectivity", you're a lefty, just admit it. There is no shame in it, there are millions of lefties.

Unless and until you can show me any concrete examples of you embracing any ideas or candidates, past or present that are conservative in nature, then you claims to "most objective poster" are as empty as your words. Sorry, but the facts speak for themselves.

& as an independent, since I already voted for Reid, might as well balance out my congressional
voting by casting a ballot for the Republican.

You're still not "the" most objective poster, you can't lay claim to being the most objective until both sides consider you the enemy, or in your case at having at least a couple of libs call you a conservative. lol

I will accept your reasoning in re to Titus/Reid. I haven't lived in Nevad for over 25 yr, so I don't know much about Titus, but I'll accept your appraisal of her, and your reasoning for voting for Heck.
