GOP refuses to blame their extreme ideas, unfair tax policies, and moronic health policies that I showed below would increase the costs of Medicare drastically for their big loss in 2012.

Obama shows the world that he is not the "other", and he works collaboratively in a non-partisan way with the Republican Convention Keynoter to bring aid to the storm victims.

2 Things:

We are far from stoppping these storms because Repubilcan providers and their oil company clients deny global warming/climate change is real.

Many New Jersey towns who were the hardest hit completely ignored warnings to prepare for the storm from FEEMA, from Governor Christie, and their homes were destroyed because of this raising the cost of the storm to the federal government billions.

The media is slow to pick up or ignoring both of these points. They're very true.

That gained them the BIGGEST pick up of seats on Congress in the history of this country two years ago?

So explain this to us, are the american people that wishy washy that they changed that much in two years, or is your theory just crap...

No need to answer, we already know...

If I had to put it into 1 or 2 sentences my revulsion at the Republican party is that they want to push trickle down that hasn't worked at all for 30 years since Raegan and the father of it--John Stockman who was hugely powerful in the Raegan administration now embraces that and is all over the media saying that and has been for 4 years.

I don't care what you say and sure don't care about the meme that he isn't a doctor or he never finished the 3rd grade, (I have had years to prove that isn't the case and don't care if it's believed on the fuckboard) but aside from continuing to focus on me that doesn't help the right, just look at that 7.8 trillion dollar tax and defense expense.  It's impossible to even begin to justify that math. That money not to mention it would be stupid to double the defense budget (almost) has to come from somewhere.  And it would come from middle class (which most of this board probably is in terms of economic status) and the poor.

And since when has it been appropriate for somoene like Bob McDonnell in Virginia to decide when ultrasonography of a pregnant woman gets done?  When I want to know the inner workings of something economic, I go to peoiple I trust who have done it all their lives because that's not my background all my life.  And when some decision has to be made about a pregnant woman, it seems logical to let a doctor, preferrably an OBGYN make that decision.

The cuts Romney and Ryan want to make to components of the federal government would simply cripple it and it just blows me away they would make them while giving the rich who don't need it a colossal tax break and severely hamper the poor and the middle class (yep the middle class are the cheif consumers of Medicaid --older people who need assistaed living care and children).

Really ?!?!?!?!

Answer me this, if Reagan's policies were so bad, why was his recovery so much more successful than Obama's?

Let me add this though, you are getting better here. Some good points to back up your argument.

You are right about the money coming from the middle class, there are not enough rich people to fund the debt. I am sure you have heard the fact that you could seize ALL THE WEALTH AND ASSETS OF THE 1% and it would run the government for about 7 months. That is why "tax the rich" is a simple placebo to make people on the left feel good and would not solve any really debt issues.

In the end, the debt is SO LARGE, EVERYTHING will have to be cut, defense, social programs, all of it. The problem I have is they always say they want to raise taxes and cut spending. Well, they raise the taxes but seem to never get around to the cutting the spending part.

Government wants to raise my taxes, tell you what, PROVE YOU ARE SERIOUS, PUT THOSE CUTS IN PLACE, and THEN lets talk about taking what people have earned.

Snow, you asked, "if Reagan's policies were so bad, why was his recovery so much more successful than Obama's?"

:::blink::: :::blink:::

What makes you think the 80's recoverY was better than Obama's?

First, let's get something straight. Reagan had to deal with stagflation. A recession with inflationary prices. Obama had to deal with a depression. These are two different things. Depressions have historically always taken longer to recover from than recessions.

Given all that, let's compare the unemployment rate during the Reagan administration to the Obama administration. Here is an image comparing both sets of years. I included about 4 years prior to both men being sworn in to illuminate the transition between the policies of one President to another.
