Gotta admit this is a really good deal, but I bet since it is good for the country  the lefties will find some way to disparage it.

". . . we have since delivered on that promise, catalyzing nearly $450 billion in private investment in semiconductors, creating over 125,000 new construction and manufacturing jobs, and reshoring critical technologies to bolster our national and economic security.  Today’s final agreement with TSMC – the world’s leading manufacturer of advanced semiconductors – will spur $65 billion dollars of private investment to build three state-of-the-art facilities in Arizona and create tens of thousands of jobs by the end of the decade. This is the largest foreign direct investment in a greenfield project in the history of the United States, ,” said President Joe Biden.

WHERE will they buy all of the state-of-the-art chips and components needed for all of those data centers? PRC (China)? ROC (Taiwan)? Does Stargate want to be dependent on foreign sourced chips? (In the case of PRC sourced chips, maybe even chips designed to fail and undermine US data centers in the future?) Or maybe chips should come from a state-of-the-art chip production facility being built in the USA (United States of America) under the CHIPS Act?
.
Trump has already frozen much (most? all?) of funds allocated to initiatives passed by Congress and signed into law by Biden. Trump's extreme view is "Anything by Obama or Biden must be dismantled, reversed, shut down or destroyed!!!" It IS possible to continue and improve upon existing projects and policies and expand or modify them as needed without destroying them.
.
All of that AI will need a LOT of electricity to operate. Amazon, Google, Apple, MS, ... all have their own power production facilities for their most important server farms. I'm sure that the private sector engineers will design for and build out their own power needs.

From The NY Times:
"Elon Musk is casting doubt on the first major tech investment announcement made by President Trump, openly questioning the administration he now serves.

On Tuesday, Mr. Trump announced a joint venture between OpenAI, SoftBank and Oracle to create at least $100 billion in computing infrastructure to power artificial intelligence, some of which is already underway.

But in two late-night messages on X, Mr. Musk said that the venture, dubbed Stargate, did not have the financing to achieve the promised investment levels.

“They don’t have the money," Mr. Musk wrote in reply to an OpenAI post on the announcement. “SoftBank has well under $10B secured. I have that on good authority.”

The dismissal by Mr. Musk, who is one of Mr. Trump’s closest advisers and will head up an agency created to slash the nation’s budget, is one of his first public breaks with the administration. It’s also an unusual move for any senior policy official to question an initiative trumpeted by the president.

Mr. Trump claimed the A.I. announcement as an early trophy, taking credit for the companies’ decision to spend up to $500 billion building data centers, which are huge buildings full of servers that provide computing power. Mr. Trump promised to clear regulatory hurdles for the development of A.I. and to make the United States a global leader in the technology, beating out China.

Stargate already has $100 billion in hand, two people familiar with the venture said. SoftBank, OpenAI, Oracle and MGX, an investment group in the United Arab Emirates that focuses on A.I., provided the financing.

Mr. Musk has been battling with OpenAI’s chief executive, Sam Altman. Mr. Musk, who helped found the company, has sued OpenAI and Mr. Altman for antitrust violations.

Mr. Altman took to X Wednesday morning to refute Mr. Musk’s claims.

“Wrong, as you surely know,” Mr. Altman wrote. “Want to come visit the first site already under way?”

@Followme, Musk must be one of those "lefties", huh?

Musk just doesn't know how to play the game. You can't come in and shit on your bosses announcements like that right away. He is going to end up alienating so many people.

outside the box, but this will be TOO FAR outside for Trump.  One the White House protocol experts needs to sit down with him and splain things.  He's the only senior member of Trump's administration that hasn't spent some time in the swamp and as you say, learned "how to play the game."

He's got Asperger's Syndrome. On the one hand it may be part of his brilliance. On the other, it makes him erratic as hell. He's his own worst enemy. Lucky for him he's got loads of money, which covers a multitude of sins. Now let's see if it's enough deodorant for this one.

Straight up do you think Elon Musk is a secret Nazi?

Musk is likely a closet facist, while Trump is an overt sociopath per his niece Mary.

Ok so you are a Blue Anon guy. Got it, noted for the future.

Neither Musk nor YOUR new President are Nazi's secret or otherwise.

Say it with me "Trump and Musk are not Nazis."

"The far right is celebrating what it views as a clear signal from the X owner and Donald Trump associate, who made the gestures onstage Monday."
